We attended a presentation on saving money on vacation travel. The young man who presented the company was articulate, knowledgeable, and well-prepared. After the presentation as couples we were each assigned a salesperson.
When we chose not to sign up for even the cut-rate program, the "big guy" came out to talk to us. We simply did not feel that the program was appropriate for us. But then we were given a form to fill out indicating that we had attended the presentation. The form had to be sent certified mail within 21 days.
We sent the form certified mail and requested a return receipt. We're still waiting--no return receipt, no form from CRI with further instructions for our promised cruise, no address, phone number, or even a real (?) company name. No way to get in touch!

Couldn't help but notice the obvious flaw in your report. If you send mail certified with return receipt requested, that means you will get a receipt after the mail is delivered to the recipient by the USPS. Since you have not received a receipt in 21 days, shouldn't you be inquiring with the USPS? It seems obvious to this casual observer that the company can't be ripping you off if they never received your form.
