Captain Rod damaged my property, lied about it refused to take responsibity, finally came out and looked at the overwhelming evidence (yellow paint scapings from his boat), ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY INFRONT OF NUMEROUS WITNESSES, told me to have my water craft repair at a specific shop. After the repair he then refused to accept responsibility or pay this vendors bill.
Everyone who was present when Rod Schuh appoligized for his crew lying about the damage and personally accepting responsibility for his employees actions ARE APPALLED at this local businessman's lack of ethics.
In my opinion Rod is a liar and cannot be trusted to take responsibility for the actions of his emplyees when they damage your property. Unbelievably,
Rod does not believe his word and reputation is worth the $400 repair. THIS BUSINESSMAN'S WORD IS NOT WORTH $400. DO YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN!!
I now understand after telling my story to many residents, boat owners, marina personnel and Rod's competition that this is the type of behavior that Rod is known for. The members of community homeowners association wish we would hqve known this before. WE WILL NO LONGER BE DOING BUSINESS WITH ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS MAN.
Have you been ripped off by Rod Schuh?? What can you do? Use your right as a consumer. Together we have power. Unbelievably, Captain "Ripoff" Rod actually has a satisfactory rating from the BBB. HOW?? He has only been a member since May of 08. Obviously they don't know him.
If you have been harmed - FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND THE ILLINOIS ATTORNEY GENERAL.
In my opinion, "Ripoff" Rod must change how he does business or BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

Fox Lake Boater,
Mr. Tim Foster aka Fox Lake Boater is the one that lied and said he was a lawyer which in fact he is not. The problem is that he in fact scratched his jet ski and did not want to pay to fix it so he tried to blame us. Even the repair shop he took it to said the damage could not have happened from a 1500lb lift blowing through the air with 40mph wind gust which is what Tim said the conditions were that day. The scratch was on the underside where it was sitting on the Jet Ski lift. This was all proven to the Better Business Bureau and state attorney. We were not found at fault or to be lying, he was. This is just another person trying to have someone else pay for his mistake.
We do our best to keep all of our customers happy. If there is a problem you can come to the office/shop or call 24/7. We are in perfect standing with the BBB.
