City Of Mesa Policeman D Hurley False arrest, stalking, threats and verbal and physical abuse by D. Hurley Mesa Police Mesa Arizona

On April 7th the City of Mesa Police Department was called for a minor altercation with my boyfriend. I had taken his cell phone and thrown it, although it was unbroken. When the police were called, they arrested me (falsely) for criminal damage. Only thing wrong with that charge was that THE PHONE WAS NEVER BROKEN. AND WAS NEVER CHECKED.

They took me to jail (I guess to protect other cell phones throughout the county!)

I was in shock, therefore very agreeable with the officer. I never resisted arrest or caused any trouble.
It was obvious to me that D. Hurley, the arresting officer liked to torment and taunt me. After going through the metal detector and after I was patted down I was placed in a holding cell. I have suffered from manic depression my entire life, and just until recently the meds were working. Three months I have been struggling with different meds to help me get back to my normal self. It has been quite a struggle and this can be proven my my medical records. When I asked to see a doctor or taken to the psych ward they all laughed like it was a joke. Because I asked that I was put in a PADDED CELL, NO WINDOWS NO LIGHT. Well I am claustrophobic and felt a panic attack arising. I couldnt stay in a padded cell when I did nothing wrong and they were planning on keeping me overnight. I felt in my heart that if I had to remain in that cell, would surely need serious psychological attention. While praying to Jesus for a way out, I felt He was telling me to reach in my pocket, where I had found two house keys that I forgot were there.

My 16 yr old son had no idea where I was for 5 hours and I was never offered a call.

I had to do what I had to do to survive in there. I knew Jesus led me to my shorts pocket, but I didnt understand why. Then it occurred to me to take the two keys and key myself, until my entire body was filled with welts. Well I had asked him for medical help and they refused before. When they found they had f*cked up the job and missed the keys in my pocket they went ballistic. Funny thing is I never knew they were there! An officer, which I believe was officer Hurley pushed my chest and I fell back into the restraint chair.(I ended up going to the Urgent care on Easter Sunday and they found soft tissue damage to my neck.) The police stood around me and asked me how I snuck the keys inside. I told them the truth, I had no idea they were there and then I told him that the problem was they didnt do their security job every well. THEY WERE OUTRAGED. I was verbally abused by Officer Hurley and threatened me with child protective services and taking my son away from me. He insisted to the sargeant to keep me in custody when releasing me from jail to the hospital. The sargeant on that night was the only one that realized how I was being treated. He released me to Mesa General Hospital where I got to talk with a therapist. Few minutes later Officer Hurley comes in the emergency room yelling things at me. (geeze people were in there that were very sick)

He then told the therapist he is taking me back to jail...scare tactic. Then he lied to her again and said that I told him I wont show up for the court date. LIE LIE LIE A court date was the least of my problems now. He said they lowered the charges to misdemeanor, of course to avoid a false arrest charge against them. I signed the paper and he started walking out of the hospital yelling LIAR LIAR (can we say power trip?)
I had a concert to go to on the 11th and when I returned at 2:30 am on the morning of the 12th Officer Hurley was parked in front of my house to scare me. He just sat there in the patrol car and didnt say or do anything. CAN WE SAY STALKING?

I need real help from a lawyer on this , yet I am finding it difficult to find one. Its a case of false arrest, harrassment, threats and stalking in my book.

If anyone can help I would be so thankful. I am very fearful and keep checking to see if all the doors and windows are locked etc and that no one is parked in front of my home. I am a 53 yr old widow with a 16 yr old. I asked Hurley if he thought I was Al Capone or something the way I was treated. TOTAL ABUSE OF POWER AND OVERKILL.
