Conseco - Greentree Finance Harrassing Insulting Degrating Emotionaly Abusive to Children These folks actually tracked me down to the Pizza Hut my childs birthday party was being held Charlotte, Jacksonville North Carolina, Florida

It all began at closing when our home did not arrive. We had moved out of our rental expecting to find our home set up. It took many calls to Marta at Conseco - Jacksonville, who is still employed, to finally get into our home. Conseco insisted on handling all aspects of the set-up. We were forced into a motel room for over 90 days with no compensation from Conseco. Once the home was set up, shodily I might add, it failed inspection twice.

We began getting phone calls before we ever got our home threating to foreclose for unpaid monthly payments. Our payments were not the same as what was spelled out in our contracts nor did we get a final survey.

I was shortly diagnosed with Cervical Cancer which resulted in a lengthy hospital stay and me out of work. As a single mother with only one income this put me behind in my bills. I tried to work things out with the company to no avail. I soon learned that I had checks bouncing everywhere after giving one check payment over the phone. Conseco took it upon themselves to submit checks without my authorization and are now demanding that I pay NSF fees. This all happened while I was in ICU and could not have possibly authorized such transactions.

I have been playing catch up for the last year sending money every pay check, being as nice as I can while getting yelled at, and yes I mean screamed at by whomever was next up the organzational ladder. I even had a message left on my phone by Betty, the susposed manager that I had better get my sick a*s out of bed or she was sending police to drag me out to the bank to make my payment.

My 8 year old daughter had a birthday party at Pizza Hut. My oldest child who was at home was tricked into telling them I was at a pizza place. Every pizza place in town was called until they found me. When I was paged to the phone they wanted to know why I was $ 50.00 short on my payment and began to call me names such as trailer trash and welfare mother. I hung up on the company and went back to my childs event. The company called Pizza Hut over 10 times until we were asked to leave cutting my childs party short.

Conseco has called my children at home while I was at work, knowing I was at work to ask them where they were going to put their toys when they come get our home. My youngest is afraid of getting off the bus and not having her house. My 17 year old has been called lazy because she does not have a job to help pay the bills. I dont want her to pay bills I want her to go to school.

The thing is I am only 1 month behind, yet my credit records are being reported as a consistant 90 day past due payee, thus preventing me from re-finnacing or even getting simple things like cell phone to keep up with my teen.

I paid $ 300.00 yesterday via Western Union which leaves me with a $ 400.00 balance. Today I was called by Veronica in the Jacksonville office who insisted that I give her a check over the phone from a closed account. I closed my account over a year ago because Conseco was trying to submit $ 700.00 checks with no funds to cover as mentioned earlier. Veronical went on to tell me it would be okay and it would hold me for about 15 days until I could get caught up.

When I mentioned that it was illegal to do that she continued to tell me it was not and just give her the information. When I refused her Manager Betty called and told me that my $ 300.00 would not be put towards my account it would be sent to a legal department instead to begin foreclosure. I was also told any money sent from this day forward would not be applied to my accout. Betty told me not to send one more dime.

To top things off I am being sued by my neighbors because Marta the set up gal set my home on their land as well as our septic and drainfeild. The survey I have is dated 1969 and since then a subdivision has been plated out changing property lines. Suddenly Conseco has no control over this situation and I am on my own as far as my home set up goes. When I called to talk to someone else he screamed at me and I mean screamed "Where in the hell is MY money", "get out of my house", and then I was called a stupid b***h who has no sense of reality. He wanted to know how many of my children had different fathers and how a welfare mom like me got into his house.

I wish I had time for every phone call and personality I have had to deal with since I bought this home in 2000.

I just dont know what to do at this point, do I move, can they really refuse my payments? What horrible horrible people.
