Consumer Trust Financial Ripped off by Consumer Trust Financial Clearwater Florida

I applied for a payday advance online, back in October 2007. I was routed to Consumer Trust Financial or whatever for some unenclosed or unknown reason for a credit card.

I was then notified by email stating they would charge me $149.00 for there service. I immediately contacted them to cancel and find out what type of scam this is. The rep that answered couldn't find me in the system, so I was told that I needed to call back the next day before 2pm eastern standard time.

I then called back, I still wasn't in the system, so I was pretty upset to say the least, I then requested a supervisor. A sup by the name of Michelle, finally found my name in there system and tried to explain that once I applied for the payday loan, they get your name AND checking information.

She gave me a confirmation number of 20072510ma. So then I figured it was taken care of. On November 6,2007 I checked my checking account and $149 was debited from my account. I called and filed a fraud claim with my bank.

I called Michelle back at the 800number, I was on hold for 30mins and was told she would call me back. I spoke with an Oscar, who gave an address for the dispute department but no phone number, he confirmed it was cancelled, and that there records doesn't show it was cleared or whatever.

These people are scamming people who are in need of a payday advance at the time, and need to be reported. I am in the progress of filing a claim with the better business bureau.
