DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DRIVETIME!!! UNPROFESSIONAL AND DEMEANING San Antonio Texas

Walked in to this joke of a dealership to speak w/a guy by the name of Joseph. This guy starts off chatting about my last name and making a bit of a joke about it. I guess he isn't professional enough to know that this is the wrong way to start off when trying to do business - EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Then they run my credit and there is this problem - they use the worst-of-the-worst credit reporting agency, Experian.  After they get through running around with their heads chopped off - it seems that Experian didn't have a credit score, in all of my years of buying and selling things. Strange, very strange.

So, when the credit reporting scam comes back (and it is a scam!), Unpro Joe sits down to tell me there was no score. He went on to tell me if I wanted the overpriced car (at $20,000 for a 2005 car blue booked at $8,500 in mint condition), I would have to come up with $6500.00 down and the price of the car was none negotiable.

When I asked where he came up with that number he shrugged his shoulders with no real reasoning. Just, "that's the way it is!" sort-of snide remark.  It doesn't end here...

I head home to contact the DRIVETIME CORPORATE OFFICES located at 4020 E. Indian School Road Phoenix AZ 85018 with an 888-418-1212 number attached to it. I get in touch with some guy by the name of Richard, who informs me that he can help me out on an executive level.

When explaining the situation to him, he proceeds to put me on hold and, from what I gathered, contacted Joseph at the Dealership in San Antonio TX. He comes back and proceeds to tell me that is the way it is....Given the fact that I do not have a credit score. So I asked what does that mean - EXACTLY. He states it meant $6500.00 down if I wanted a car. I asked how they come up with that figure? I never really got a clear explanation other then I need to contact the credit reporting agency to clear up the issue. I said that I wasn't going to bother with them or with the DRIVETIME dealerships.

All I can say is: KEEP YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE! Something did not feel right from the beginning with these chumps. Not to mention, they aren't nice, professional or interested in business ethics.
