Direct Energy Services customers read the fine print!  More than a year ago our employees were informed of a Direct Energy Services promotion rate of .073500. However, my current rate is .164900, which has resulted in an astronomical electric bill. Evidently the contract expired; the rate is now variable and that was stated somewhere in the fine print. If you try to contact them, it is a very lengthy process and they will do nothing to help you. I would also call on your state legislator, I met the one for where I work in Hartford the other day and apparently this is one of the biggest complaints going into their offices. One call to the Legislator is like 100 votes telling him about the problem!
