As everyone else, we were invited to their company for a presentation and to get a free gift to listen to their presentation. The presentation is made up of videos, comparison shopping charts, answers to all of shopping needs, etc.

We were told unless you signed up with them that day, you could never come back, EVER.

HIGH PRESSURE SALES AND LOTS OF QUICK TALKERS!

We were then presented with their policy book that was explained very quickly and told about the financing options very quickly!  They shove a contract in front of you and say, Well how do you want to pay???

We went ahead and paid with our own credit card and will cost us about $6,000 (more unless we can find a way to pay it off quickly!).

We did get a quote from them on decking and it was HIGHER than two other quotes we received from real companies in town. We emailed them and they offered to give us the comparison price; however, it would take a WHILE for delivery and we would have to pay delivery and handling charges! Un, thanks, but NO THANKS!

After reviewing the information and contract the next day, we decided we did NOT want to pursue this with DirectBuy. We wrote a cancellation letter and hand-delivered the cancellation letter within 72 hours.

We were informed by the owner that we COULD NOT cancel because, by Indiana law, we signed the Contract in their home office! The shoved paperwork in our faces of Contracts and Purchases from the Office of the Indiana Attorney General and sent on our way!

We have been doing our research (which we should have done before!!!) and found out they are not even listed with the BBB. Also, they have had to keep changing their name because of the all the complaints they have received in the past years.

We WILL be filing Complaints with our AGs Office, the BBB, and the Federal Trade Commission! If we do not get anywhere with them, we will hire an attorney!  Their contract is total nonsense, lists nothing bout cancellations (however, they do claim it was discussed with us during the presentation which is WAS NOT!), and is just unfounded!

We are so sorry we fell for this total RIPOFF SCAM!!!  Beware people, do NOT under any circumstances, sign up with these people EVER!!!

REGRETS? You betcha!!!
