Earthlink Internet Service Is The Worst Dial Up I Have Ever Used slow internet, bad customer service Internet

First off, i am not going to complain about the price cause i dont pay for it. i have earthlinks service free untill october. But i will say that i will not pay there price for internet because it is the MOST expensive dial up i have ever experianced. It is something liek 21 a month. Which is ridiculous for dial up when you can get dial up for 9.95 from other companies.

First off, i am using a vista machine, 3 ghz and 2 gigs of ram. So it is NOT my computer being slow.

There internet usually connects at around 33 kbps. Which is reasonable for dial up. But for some reason the connection states that it has limited connectivity for about 5 minutes every time i log on. That means i cant do anything on the internet for that 5 minutes. And then it will connect to Local and Internet. But what happens to me is every now and then it will revert to Limited Connectivity. And it will stay there for about 5 - 10 minutes. Usually i just disconnect and re connect and it solves my problem.. But that is still a hassle. But the biggest problem is that after about 3 hours of being signed on. The only that that will work is my Aim and Yahoo messenger service. No pages will load on internet explorer. It keeps saying i am not connected to the internet. I checked to see if it says work offline but that option is never checked. I reconnect and then nothing will work.. no messanger service and no browesing the internet. I usually restart my computer and wait an hour and reconnect and it works fine for a while.. then repeats this process.

now i really dont think it is my computer cause i have gone over all of the internet options and i have them set accordingly to what is required for dial up usage.

And then one time i tried to cancel it and the lady i was talking to would not let me cancel it. She was like well its free till october just keep it as a backup if your going with another provider. I decided i didnt want to deal with her anymore and just hung up.

I wouldnt call this a scam or anything, but the service they provide for 21 a month is NOT worth the price and i would suggest to anyone who doesnt get it for free to switch to another company that offers internet for 9.95 a month. Or get broadband if its availible. Which it isnt in my area. i have just switched to wild blue satalite which im sure i will complain about later cause satalite internet is just too much and u have download threshholds. I just cant win with the internet.. I am going to have to move just so i can get decent internet.
