Equity Residential, Boston MA The Towers at Longfellow Apartments Fraudulent charges Boston Massachusetts

Was told I would have to pay for new carpeting after I moved out, along with service to buff the hardwood floors.  The carpeting was not new when I moved in, nor were the hardwood floors.  In total, they are charging me over $1400.  They also have my $500 deposit monies.  This has since gone to collections, but I refuse to pay.  On top of it all, there was a water problem that caused some minor flooding in the unit.  I would stay away from this company at all costs.  If you are 1 day late with a payment, you receive an eviction notice.  They do not understand customer service at all.  I have probably rented 5-6 times in my life, and this is the worse experience ever.
