Federal Grants ripoff San Francisco California

I was contacted by a man with an accent who identified himself as David Cooper. I, too, was offered an $8,000 grant, tax free, no strings attached for an upfront fee of $257. This man was relentless! He called my house at least 5 times, and I gave him my daughter's number so she could "mess with him." I asked why he didn't take the $257 out of the $8,000. He said "because that's already assigned to you." My daughter and I messed with him for about three hours, just for fun. He asked for bank account numbers, which my daughter gave him (bogus, of course). He then said it wasn't coming up in his system. So he called ME for HER information!
If they ask for "up front" money or your personal information... DO NOT GIVE IT. But, do dial *57 right after receiving the call. This will put their number in a nuisance file and then the number can be traced! The police, Attorney General's Office, nor your phone company with help with this. BEWARE!!
