I feel so embarrassed and stupid to be duped into this company's clutches. A few weeks ago, I recieved a phone call saying I had won a free vacation to Orlando, Florida courtesy of Florida Passport. I was immediately skeptical, but the man said that it was cheaper to give away free vacations than to advertise nationally.

After giving him my information, he told me that I would be charged a one time processing fee of $149.00 if I didn't cancel the trip by July 06, 2005. Since it was June, I figured this wouldn't be a problem, since I was most likely to cancel the free trip anyway.

So I waited and waited for my package to arrive, and finally, it did, exactly on the sixth of July. My debit card (!) was immediately charged $149.00. I tried to get a hold of the company to complain and cancel the trip, but every time I called, I was put on hold for over 45 minutes, and sometimes, they'd close while I was still on the phone!

A few days later, I was checking my bank account online and noticed two other payments had been taken out of the account, one for Agents Travel Agency in the amount of $49.95 and the other for TeleFlex for $59.95. I immediately called the companies and found out that since I hadn't yet been able to cancel my trip with Florida Passports, they, as affiliates that I didn't even know existed within the Florida Passports company, took out processing fees.

Angry and embarrassed, I called the Florida Passports office again and this time, was able to get through. The woman on the line was extremely helpful and canceled the trip, promising a check in the amount of $149.00 to be sent out the following Monday.

However, the other companies were less helpful. For the refund on the TeleFlex company, I found out that I had to WRITE the company, asking for my money back. And the Agents Travel Agency wouldn't even pick up the phone.

It has now been over a month, and I still have not gotten any money back. This sort of behavior should not be allowed to go on. It is fraudulent and decietful and I am thoroughly ashamed that I allowed myself to be duped.
