The Grand Lake Lodge and Spa is a rip off. The food is terrible. The service is worse. I have seen the owner Tom push a member. I have also seen him pull people out of the building in front of their friends. The gym is the only thing that is nice. The pool has black mold. How do I know this? The company who does the maintenence for the pool (which he owes money to) told me this. Said they dont take care of the pool in the winter and the black mold comes in then and they can not get rid of it.
The add a 20% tip to each charge. Believe this or not.... The owner keeps this money. The staff has asked us many times to tip above and beyond the 20% because they said they do not get this money.
No wonder they filed bankrupcy in 2012.
The best thing for South bridge home owners would be if the lodge went under. I am sure it wont be long anyway.
WARNING Southbridge members do not join. You will be disappointed like all of the other members.
