InTown Suites should be closed! Antioch Tennessee

I recently spent a month at the InTown Suites in Antioch TN. I have been traveling on business for years and have to say that this was the worst motel I have ever experienced. When I arrived everything seemed ok. The room appeared clean and the front desk manager was cordial. Then upon closer inspection of the room I realized it is more of a flop-house than a hotel. The first thing I noticed was that there was no bedside lamp on the nightstand, or an alarm clock. OK, I can live with that. Then I was informed that I would have to wash my own towels! Then after being in the room for about 10 minutes I heard an alarm going off. Upon further investigation I discovered that it was the refrigerator! It literally sounded like an alarm going off! I was informed that the hotel was going to be replacing all of refrigerators in the building, but that took them 3 weeks. They clean once a week, which is standard for long stay hotels, but "normally" they actually clean the room. The first week they came in to clean, I was in the room when they arrived. Knocking on the door at 9:15 AM, they came in, stripped the bed and left. They didn't come back to re-make the bed until after 1:00 PM. The maid took a bottle of spray and wiped off a few things, ran the vacuum and left. She had no toilet brush so the bowl was not even cleaned! I then noticed a black mold under the rim of the toilet! I have pictures.

In the rooms they have a little trash can in the kitchen area and that has to hold all of your trash for a week. I was informed that any trash sitting outside of this tiny can, would not be taken out by housekeeping and I was responsible for it! $213.00 per week and they don't wash your towels, or take out the trash!

The first weekend I was there, a car was broken into, the back window broken out. I called the 24 hour security and there was no answer.  The second weekend I was there someone tried to steal my spare tire from my truck. The police won't even show up if you call them, because the hotel has so much trouble there.

Finally upon checking out, I was in a hurry to leave due to a 11 hour drive ahead of me, and the woman at the front desk said I would have to wait to get my deposit back until someone inspected my room. When I asked her what they were inspecting for she said "Did you leave any trash outside of the can?" I said yes and I don't have time to take it out again. I couldn't wait, and I left, fuming!

I contacted the corporate "contact us" website and complained. They sent me an email saying that I didn't supply them with my phone number so they could investigate.

They are unethical and immoral. I'm sure if they had a proper health inspection they would fail. If the board of licensing investigated I'm sure they could be fined or closed down.

Bottom line - Don't even think of giving these crooks your money.
