I received an unexpected box in the mail: the attached enveloped explains that the contents are "FREE gifts" with "total value of.. $67.85" from Wildlife Explorer and an EXTRA BONUS flashlight.  For this unsolicited Gift, I am invoiced for shipping and handling.  When I call the "24/7 toll free" number to query and cancel, I am sent through robotic menus only to find that there is no live operator available until the start of the regular work week; no weekends or holidays.  I also find out that the balance due on "my account" has now increased Six-fold because another unsolicited shipment had already been made!

The imponline.com website says that returns cannot be acknowledged without a Return Authorization Number provided through Customer Service.  So, I called to ask for Two such numbers, in order to avoid the same rigamarole whenever the second package arrives.  The operator tries Five times to get me to change my mind; I had to insist on a number before she Finally says that all charges will be waived.  No return authorization number provided -- so I guess IMP products are of less value to the company than the cost of receiving unopened goods! (I have to agree: the contents are worthless!)

After a lot of wasted time and wondering how to handle this situation: my advice to others is to call IMP and insist on returning such goods at Their cost; inform them that the call is being recorded; get the name of the operator, and take down the cancellation code to keep for your records.
