i filed my taxes with jackson hewitt. the only reason i filed with them was to get the money now program that i see on t.v , cause i needed the money soon. they told me that if i don't quilfy for the money now program then i would go into the program that would allow me to get my money in 1-2 days and i was cool with that.
on the third day i gave them a call and was like where is my money. the lady told me that if i didn't quilfy for the 1-2 day program i would automaticly go into a program that would send my check to me in 11-17 days. i could have went on the net and got my money in 10 days. these people charge people these outrageous prices to do there taxes and charge more if you want your money quickly. i wasn't tring to wait 11-17 days for my money but once i said do my taxes there was no stopping the process.
i could have got them done somewhere else for a rapid refund. they need to let people knnow if they can get a quick return or not before they take your money. i wish i would have went somewhere else or done it myself.

im sorry to hear that yall had a bad encounter with jackson hewitt. but in all realality it is up to the bank that does the money now loan when you get it. they cut you a check on that day if approved but if you dont meet with everything like they want then you will have to wait. when you come in wanting a money now loan that is exactly what it is a loan. the bank wants to make sure they are going to get paid. you can probably understand their point if you gave 30,000 people loans and 1/4 of the people are filing a wrong return or owe money so there for the bank doesnt get paid.i hope you understand now and see that it doesnt have anything to do with jackson hewitt, even tho we are the ones that get fussed at and down graded when people dont get there money tomarrow.everywhere will do like this so if you can get it faster on your own then go for it, but if you want them done right and all your deductions i suggest you wait for the money because the leading tax offices can get you more in your return that you may not know about.

I took a friend to JHewitt thinking about the rapid refund thing for her as well. However, I had figured her taxes before hand and knew what she would be receiving back and the guy not only was not interested in doing the taxes in the first place(he was on the phone with a girlfriend) but he was also wrong on the return by more than 800 dollars!! I told him no thank you and to erase the return that I had already figured the taxes myself before we had went in and knew that she should be receiving a return of $1851 not the $1000 that he was claiming she would get. So off to the house we went and I bought an online program and did her taxes for thirty bucks and since it is direct deposit she will have the right amount back in 7 days!
I would hope that Jackson Hewitt reads this site and pays attention because I will never refer another person to them again. This occured at the WalMart on Thornton Rd in Douglasville, Georgia.
