The reason Sean **** has filed this rip-off report is because he has re-discovered that he has a San Luis Obispo Superior Court judgment filed against him by myself and our design office, Interior Planning Resource for non-payment. It is **** own fault for not honoring his signed contract for the design services for Native Lounge that he agreed to and I rendered in 2007. I completely fulfilled the terms of our contract providing layouts, finish schedules and full size product samples. In addition, we also provided recommendations for tradesmen and furniture manufacturers and access to wholesale furniture showrooms for completing the restaurant and lounge.

In rebuttal to his claims, we recall not attending one scheduled meeting due to a conflict with the January trade show, but did notify the architectural office, Studio 2G, and they made the presentation in our absence rather than reschedule to a later date when I could attend. Our office caused no delay in the planning process of this project.

There was absolutely no communication written, verbal or by way of the architectural office disputing the work done or the invoice for the services provided. **** simply chose to ignore it. After repeated attempts by me to make contact mainly by his personal cell phone these calls too were not returned, my only recourse for compensation was to file action in Small Claims Court.

**** had the opportunity to appear in court and present his case. He failed to do so, nor did he file a Notice of Appeal when he learned of the judgment against him in 2008.

I have been in business for 35 years in SLO a professional member of ASID, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Arts Council, local chapters of AIA and CCID and this is the ONE AND ONLY project for which I have NOT not been paid.  In contrast, Sean **** has a failed restaurant, Native Lounge, that did not survive in business for five years. 

This report that was just filed in August 2012 and I find it ironic that I learned about it by a long-time client. He referred me to another company and they happened to come upon the report and advised me of the very negative review. It is unfortunate that **** can attempt to discredit my business reputation with his false claims. 

**** could have the judgment removed by simply contacting the court and paying the amount owed, which now has four years of accrued interest.
