Mr. Ron Last the owner of Last Stop Motors is guilty of rip off practices. I worked for him until I walked out and quit, due to his business practices on Monday January 24th.

In retallitation he stopped payment on my final paycheck, which was issued on January 21st, 2005 for $1,000.00

When I called you ask him why, he stated " you walked out, take me to court ".

Of course I walked out if you knew his character you would too. His only concern in life is filling his pockets with other people's money nor matter what it takes. Every deceptive practice available in in his play book.

WATCH OUT DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP

Apparently, this venue for notifying the general public of bad business practice has
turned into a forum for personal vindictive vandetta's. I speak specifically
of "Sheila's" response regarding Last Stop Motors, or more specifically, Mr. Last.

Unfortunately, I fail to associate anything Sheila has to say about her "personal"
issues with Mr. Last (as historically obsolete as they may be), and the reputable,
fine business establishment the Last's have created through their hard work, fair
and accomodating methods, as well as the altruistic and generous contributions
they have both made in the community. I speak out of personal experience, both
as a customer and friend...as I believe they successfully turn most customers into
friends.

The Last's have personally extended their services to supply all of my
family members with vehicles, not just by meeting us on the parking lot...but by
spending extensive hours to help us find the right vehicle, for the right price. If
that were not enough, if we had any problems, as one might expect with a pre-
owned car or truck, they did whatever it took to help correct the problem. Over the last six years of doing business with them, I have had the benefit of working with their same wonderful employees. Not a bunch of new hires with disgruntled attitudes. It does not sound like "Sheila" has much experience as a business owner, as if she did, she would certainly understand the difficult task in running and maintaining a business, as well as the challenges in dealing with employees.

Personally and professionally, Ron and Carole Last have only displayed the most gracious, kind and generous behavior....nothing even remotely similar to the caustic examples that "Sheila" has noted....perhaps, "Sheila" needs to redirect the "Chip" on her shoulder to a more appropriate publication....such as the "National Enquirer"! I am a little frightened to think that just because someone holds a personal grudge, they find that as suitable grounds to start a public disparaging forum....get over it Sheila....we're all big boys and girls now....and by the way.....Ron IS funny!

A loyal "Last Stop Motors" fan!!!!!!

Grain of Salt

I have personally known Ron Last the owner for way too many years. He probably paid Clyde to file a good report on his behalf, and the report from Carole was written by his wife. First of all he has only been in business as Last Stop Motors for about 4 years Prior to that he was working for another dealer wholesaling cars. He is know in the Wisconsin area by other dealers as a cocky idiot. His employee turn over is very high, no one works for him for more than 6 months. One of my friends sons worked for him and said Ron Last was really a jerk to work for. Constantly yelling and insulting his employees. He said one detailer that was hired only worked a few days before he quit. So he has NO ONE who has even worked for him for a year other than some retired guys guys who drive cars for him and they also think he is an a*s but they take his money anyway.

Ron Last would like some respect but gets none from me or my friends he is an alcoholic even once crashing a car into someone house. The guy lost a paternity suit and had to pay child support for a child he fathered. He never excepted the responsibility for the daughter and has never had anything to do with her and to this date denies it is his child. he also has the worst pick up lines I have ever heard and tells jokes and laughs like he is funny. Sorry but this is really a sad man. For best results just bypass last Stop Motors

Another Perspective

AUTHOR: Clyde - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 26, 2007

I have known Last Stop Motors for many years and have great respect for them as a company and an employer. I know how difficult it is to find / hire decent, dependable and respectful employees. As for the employer if he/she does not fill his/her pockets with other people's money, there would be no commerce and no profit and no employee. So just remember this is not an easy Union shop. It's called work for a reason. Last Stop Motors has been a successful business through tough times, so they must be doing something right. The majority of their employees have been with them for many years. Sounds like you had a personality or power problem with the employer. Maybe you should have been more adult and talked it out instead of just walking off the job. Leaves you with a nice reference for time worked. NOT. Looks like you left the state to malign another employer. Sorry about the check, but if you truly worked for it, the owners would have paid you. They are reputable people and not petty as you would like others to believe.
I see this was two years ago...hopefully you have had better success in your employment.

Factual Update

AUTHOR: Carole - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 10, 2005

Hello Out There. The internet certainly provides many opportunities for the spread of information.
Unfortunately, false information is just as prevalent and factual information. This website particularly only offers a forum for some people to use it as a personal "chat room" and does not require any basis or accountability to facts.

The comments written about Last Stop Motors come from a person who has previously been reported to the Police for threats and harassment and is currently being pursued through the courts.

I encourage you to make the trip to Last Stop Motors and find out for yourself. We are family owned and have been doing business in our community for 30 years. The majority of our business is repeat customers and customer referrals. Our motto is that we "will be your Last Stop, no need to go anywhere else". We say that for a reason. Because we believe in our products and service and know that we can offer you a car buying experience that is a positive one and one that we stand behind with our name and reputation.

No need to go to court

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 03, 2005

Call your state's Labor Board. That is all you need to do to get paid. they will contact him and give him a very small amount of time to hand you your money. If he doesn't comply, THEY will take him to court. I had to do that once to get my overtime from an employer. He said "have your Lawyer call me" and laughed. No problem, pal. My "lawyer" was Mike Easley, the State Attorney general for NC at that time. I had already contacted the Labor Board. Mr Easley told me to give him until close of business that day, less than 6 hours, to make it right, or he would begin the process of taking this guy for all he was worth the next morning. My boss called his lawyer and amazingly i had my check in my hand at 5:30. Not only that, but everyone who ever worked for this a*s got checks. His book-keeper had to go through several years worth of time cards to comply. The fun didn't stop there though. When one agency is fired up on a mission, they ALL join in. He got visits from OSHA, EPA, Tax Audit, every state and local agency came by and delivered their version of a good time on this guy. He never had payroll problems again though and he never got ignorant with me either. He even wound up rehiring me to run his shop a couple of years later. He said it was because he knew I would run a straight(legal) shop and he would know the job was getting done with no problems. Good luck.
