I took my car to Lilburn Auto Center for a catalytic converter and they tried to sell me 2 when it only has one. They told me 3 times it takes 2 until I asked for a written quote. I told them I was taking my car to their competitor and they actually had the nerve to call that competitor and told them lies about me and stirred up trouble with them for me.

The competitor did the same repairs but did it for $800 less than what Lilburn Auto Center was going to charge me. To top all this off, the icing on the cake is that after I had been home for an hour the police came to my door telling me they filed a report saying I threatened them with a rifle! If I had done that why would I have paid them their $70 to do the test on my car? No charges were filed as it was obvious to the police they are liars and scammers. Besides, I don't even have a rifle.

My main issue is not that they tried to scam me, I was able to deduce that on my own by asking for a written quote. What my issues are are that they called the other garage I told them I was taking my car to and slandered me and that they called the police and filed a false police report all because I caught them red handed in their scam. Avoid this place like the plague because they are a plague on reputable service centers by giving them all a bad name.

i would like to reply to the individual that wants to bad mouth the garage with out having his facts straight.  first our diagnostic charge is 89.95-you paid 69.95 because my service writer felt sorry for you just being fired.  second as far as this mysterious number of catalytic converters-you are aware that cars came with production option that cant be verified until the vehicle is looked at. once your vehicle was looked at & checked out then an accurate estimate was created. now as far as our charge being so much more than the exhaust shop you took it to, you need to compare apples & apples. that shop quoted just a converter repair. your vehicle needs alot more than that. our $800 overcharge that you mention is including the additional engine repairs your vehicle needed due to your neglect & abuse.  speaking of which you failed to mention to the general public whether your car passed emissions without our additional repairs which i doubt it could have no matter how many converters youd like to have. i am assuming you are still having problems-and thats why its still in the parking lot of the other garage. as far as contacting the other garage, i have a right to check your story considering I have known the other garage owner for sometime & questioned him making the remarks you said he did. of course his story is completely different than yours.  now to your worst mistake-threatening my counter people, i have witnesses & recordings that verify you using bodily harm as a threat.  the police issued you a verbal warning.  now as far as apologies i think you owe everyone in the automotive center one. lilburn auto center is a reputable service center but when a customer doesnt even take time to read a document or listen to someone speaking or even make a comparison of one estimate that includes a tune-up along with other engine performance repairs & converter repair versus just a converter repair, it doesnt even matter.  after doing some investigation on you i can see that you are used to bullying people but i can tell you you are out of your league on this one.
