Last summer I was working in a partnership with Washington Mutual, providing credit card processing services to their business customers.

I was called to meet with Lisette Muntslag who I was told had opened accounts for 2 businesses and needed my services.

This lady had a real estate business doing apartment rentals and another business selling t-shirts online. She told me the real estate business was currently active, but the website was not ready yet.

I told her the we could do the paperwork for both businesses and she would not be charged for the online business until she activated the website.

She agreed and signed a contract for each business and leased a credit card terminal for her real estate business.

After submitting the SIGNED applications I was informed that we could not approve them because she only had a tax id number, but not a valid social security number. I called Lisette and told her this. She informed me that her ssn was coming in the mail soon.

Lisette called me 2 months later to tell me that she received her new ssn. I took the information and updated the paperwork to resubmit the contracts.

This time the applications were approved and she was shipped the terminal and billed for it. Lisette refused delivery of the terminal, which I found strange since she told me that it was needed for her real estate business.

A couple of weeks later I get a call and an email saying that she was charged for my companies services and received an overdraft fee from the bank. She told me that it was for Leni Enterprises, which was not supposed to be charged until the website was activated. I wanted to hold up to my word, so I paid the overdraft charge.

When she called me next month about the same thing, I looked into it with my company and found out what was really going on.

Lisette was being charged about $25 for the equipment lease and $5 for her monthly statement fee for New Horizon Real Estate...not Leni Enterprises.

Since she did not have $30 in her account, the bank charged overdraft fees. I mean, who opens a business account and doesn't have $30? At that point I told her that she was on her own.

The computer system automatically tries to debit the account 3 times. So she was hit with 6 overdraft charges, 3 for the $25 lease charge and 3 for the $5 monthly statement fee.

Next thing you know she is posting blogs about me on this website, saying that I committed contract fraud and bank fraud. She also filed a small claims case against the bank.

This has been going on for months.

At this point my company has cancelled out her contracts, bought back the lease and taken her out of collections. The bank told me that they reversed the overdraft charges and offered to settle for the damages. Apparently, she agreed to this, and then refused after they sent her the paperwork.

Legal from Chase (which now represents Wamu) tells me that she is seeking damages in the amount of $45!!!

This lunatic is doing all this for $45!!

So vendors beware of doing business with Lisette Muntslag. This could happen to you!
