Bought 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4WD from Lou Grubb Dodge, Phoenix, AZ. Originally sales representative was told who to finance through. Upon taking it on himself, our choice financing company was not even contacted making our decision for getting a warranty through our financial institution impossible.
A year and 4 months later we have a lemon. Our damages are building. First ABS module replacement ($800), rear-end replacement ($1300), Engine replacement (approx. $3000). We were also told that the transfer case might also need replacing. After being stranded on I-10 needless to say Lou Grubb will not be getting any more of my business. The dealership and corporate offices are unwilling to help and their response, "All we can do is trade you out of the truck into a new Dakota." Not only do I not want another Dodge, from the beginning the Lou Grubb Dealership has been shady and unresponsive.

What is your stake in this Shawn from Tempe?

Did you buy a vehicle from Lou Grubb and have something good happen?
I doubt it......Many unfortunately find out the hard way, later. There is no mention in the original complaint or there after about replacing the vehicle flat out just simply to repair the damages and obviously from what is being said it's extensive.
Regardless what have you contributed or stated that has helped or resolved anything? Your comment is unfounded and lame. I bet one or more of the following are true about you..........
1. You have issues with women drivers and their supposed driving habits, even though you don't own a car.
2. You're bitter about a recent break-up with a boyfriend/girl friend who couldn't maintain their vehicle properly.
3. You're really a metro sexual employee of Lou Grubb Dodge cheating customers by day. by night, perusing the internet as "Shawn" the Female vehicle psychologist?
4. You're real name is Richard, and you can't help it.

Flood damage

It appears you must be an expert on vehicles. Just so you know the above mentioned damages started just after a year of having the vehicle. I am far from rough on my vehicles. Further the whole transmission melted together which was discovered when the engine was replaced. Lou Grubb Dodge accidently mentioned that it appeared as if the vehicle had severe flood damage which takes time to show up. And another note we didn't ask all we wanted was help with the repairs.

it's a machine

Why do you think that after almost 2 years of having the vehicle and putting miles on the truck that you could go back to the same dealer that you bought it from and make them take the truck back and payoff your loan and you walk way. If that is the case everyone could do that so why is it the dealer problem that the truck broke down after you had the truck a year and four months it is a machine and it sound like you are very hard on vehicles.

On Friday, 10/1, dealership was contacted once again for assistance. This time the GM's assistant was willing to offer assistance. While there were no guarantees on what they could do, the dealership is trying intently to get us back in the door.
