#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
All Charges are Outlined for Customers
AUTHOR: Movers Authority, Inc. - ()
SUBMITTED: Thursday, June 26, 2014
We are very disappointed that this customer was not satisfied. All charges are stated right in the service agreement, which is sent to, and signed by, the customer when they book their move. All documents are on our website along with an explanation so there are no surprises for customers.
Our practices specifically follow guidelines outlined in the D.O.T. publication "Protect Your Move" and we have this on our website. Cutomers are directed to read this in the service agreement. As per the service agreement, we collect payment before off-loading and we accept cash, cashier's check, money order, or certified check. Again, this was provided to the customer when they originally made their reservation and they signed their agreement.
Since payment is collected before off-loading, the time has to be estimated. The customer wanted furniture to be rearranged, so it took longer than was allotted. They were aware of this, but then refused to pay for the additional time.
Finally, the customer signed the receipt at the end of the move stating that all of his furniture was delivered in good condition. We did not receive a written report of damages or pictures, so we have no documentation of this.
