NACS, National Association Credit Services Continually Harassed Bothered & Verbally Assaulted St. Petersburg Florida

Around the beginning of summer 2002, I began receiving telephone calls from NACS during the day. Their telephone number would show up on my Caller ID two to four times a day a few times during the week but they would never leave a message on my answering machine. I never attempted to call them back because I figured it wasn't anything important ~ If it was, they'd leave a message, right?

Well, several weeks after they began calling, I was home during the day when they called and when I answered, the person on the other end asked for someone I had never heard of. I told him that he had the wrong number and he told me that he did not. He then went on to tell me that he knew I was lying and that he was sure that I was the person he was looking for!! I told him he was mistaken and to please remove my telephone number from his calling lists. He then said something like, "Look b***h, stop lying. I know you're her so why not just talk to me?" I was floored!! I hung up on him and then took my phone off the hook because I was afraid he would call back.

Things were quiet for awhile after that, but maybe 2 weeks later NACS called again. When I answered, it was the same guy. He again asked for the person he had asked for the last time he had called and I told him that he had the wrong number and he said, "Oh, we're going to play that game again, are we?" Then he said, "Look, I have a credit card here for you. It's been approved and is ready to be sent out - I just need to confirm your address and then I'll get the package in the mail to you."

I told him again that he had the wrong person and that I wasn't going to give him my address and he became very angry. I hung up on him when he began yelling and took my phone off the hook again so he could not call back. After that, the calls from NACS started coming more and more frequently - Up to six times a day. Some were coming in the late afternoon/early evening after I had returned home and when I saw their name on the Caller ID box, I would let the machine pick up because I didn't want to deal with them, but, as was expected, the caller always hung up.

But after several weeks of that, I got so irritated that I started answering the phone - And every time I did, the same guy was on the other end!! And each call got progressively worse so that I was finally forced to file a police report. It's one thing to be called a "lying b***h" by someone who thinks you're lying about your identity, but it is something else entirely when you are harassed by someone who tells you that they know where you live and that they will "get even with you for pissing them off" on top of calling you horrible names and accusing you of lying to them.
