Pay for guard card course online, but after I paid it just said thank you. I thought I got ripped off right then and there. A hour later I received an email with a username and password; This information wasn't stated in the description, so they need to let us know the online process. Then when I took the courses, all the videos has pop up questions and I was using Firefox. Don't use Firefox because it will show up that you never watched the videos and never answered the questions; Again they didn't state this in the description so I wasted hours doing it on Firefox. Use Internet Explorer, which I end up doing. I watch all the videos and completed the final exam, but on one of the video (Part L) there were no pop up question in the videos so I got a score of zero on that quiz. I must pass all videos questions and the final exam with 100% to get my certificate. I try watching part L video over a dozen times on Firefox and Internet Explorer, no dice. I think those incompetence people just forgot to insert the questions into video Part L OR they could be screwing with us. I called them about six times at different work hours from yesterday to today. They will NEVER pick up the phone, it will ALWAYS go to voice mail. In addition, I emailed them twice and haven't heard anything from them. Try calling their number and you'll find out what I'm talking about. I thought doing it online is better since it cheaper and easier, but don't. It may be cheaper, but the customer service you get is crap, not to mention their cheesy website that has issue which prevent you from completing your online courses. Trust me you'll rather pay a little more to do this in person AND with a different company. This company is incompetence and their customer service is non-existence. STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM!

SCAMMERS!

AUTHOR: Kevin - ()

POSTED: Friday, February 21, 2014

NEVER AT THE OFFICE. NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. NEVER RESPONSE TO EMAILS. I SHOWED UP AT THE OFFICE AND THE GUY NEVER SHOWED UP. LOSER! WHY DID I WASTE MY TIME? I THOUGHT I COULD SAVE SOME MONEY BUT ITS NOT WORTH IT. I WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE ALREADY IF I HAD GONE ESLEWHERE.

I RECOMMEND DON'T GO HERE. SPEND THE MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. I FINALLY DID AND GLAD I DID. IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY AND I LEARNED FROM REAL INSTRUCTORS TOO. GOOGLE AND READ THE REVIEWS FIRST BEFORE GOING ANYWHERE. I WISHED I HAD. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Real Experience with NSETC

AUTHOR: Adam - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 21, 2012

If you are looking for a real in depth review for an actual student of The National Security Enforcement Training Center (NSETC.COM) or MyGuardCard.com, I would like to share my experience with this school.
I did my homework, in the way of looking at prices and educational content of many schools located in the Inland Empire area of southern California.  After narrowing it down to about 5 locations, I called and spoke with employees of each school to see what the process would be like and also get a feel of what kind of service I would be getting for my buck. I then narrowed it down to 2 locations. The deciding factor for me was the other school I had picked was an in-class only experience, which would not be convenient but I could live with it, the part that threw me was his urging me not to go to NSETC because his statement of: Online classes arent legal or legit. (Due to my background, I always question when someone is quick to throw out a negative on a competitor instead of touting his own benefits.) This struck my interest and decided to do some investigating, I called the sate licensing to check on this ( by the way, if you decide to do this, start early they open at 8am and are near impossible to get someone. I dont have the number at the moment but its found on the state site and on guard cards, save yourself some time and use options 1,0,3,5 this will get you to the security licensing department.)I inquired with the state as to the requirements for the schools and for the potential security officers then I voiced my concern of the legality and legitness of an online security program, the sate employee informed me that an online security program is completely legal and approved by the sate.
Once happy with the information I called NSETC to enroll in the BSIS class and wanted to again go over the steps. Mike was the representative who had to field what may have seemed dumb and repetitious questions but he answered them with confidence and patience and offered any help I may need along the way. I didnt get to enroll in the class until late at night, (1am) I didnt expect to get any reply until after about 10 am. I ended up with an email about 5 minutes after the enrollment in the class and to my real surprise, 1 hours later I received my login and welcome emails. The emails are very specific outlining exactly where to go and what to do. Follow the directions and youre on your way. I currently have been taking a college online course; they use the exact same format as the college class. You can see what you are enrolled in and see your grades for your tests. Read at your own pace and take the Test as many times as you want, they are multiple choice and true false.
I will tell you, I was still a skeptic so when I enrolled I only paid for the basic class (8 hours), even knowing I wanted to take the full 40 and the pepper spray classes. I was so impressed after finishing the first class with ease I purchased the next 2 and the pepper spray right after finishing the basic. I have now completed all the courses without issue and I honestly feel I have learned a great deal of information.
My final thought would be to all those who complain about any hiccup they may have in life and use their in ability to do things for themselves or figure things out by trial and error. These guys provide you with exactly what is listed on their site, they will lend you assistance but they dont climb thru the computer and do it for you. You do have to have a little knowledge and self motivation to do a class of any kind, especially online.  If you have a problem, call them I sure did But I understand I am not paying for a private instructor, they have other students, and they dont sit at the phone waiting for my call. The one time I didnt get an answer when calling; I sent an email and had a response in less than 20 minutes. If that isnt reasonable then I would suggest you consider private training or better yet I dont think you should be looking in this line of work.My background is in a customer service related industry, my customers had always expected a great deal from me and I did my best to deliver. In turn I expect a lot when I am on the customer end, but one has to keep in mind, are they providing what they promise? In this case, yes, in every area and then some.I would like to thank the guys at NSETC for putting up with all my newbie questions and providing a great service and convenient program. I ask that anyone whom reads this and ends up taking the course, share your experiences, not enough customers share good experiences and are all to quick to spread the negative.
BE SAFE OUT THERE GUYS!
