Nationwide Pools (NWP)is a company that needs tobe put out of business, plain and simple. From theday I signed my contract I was mislead, deceived, lied to andignored. Nationwide's sales pitch is geared towards telling the consumer what they want to hear, doing what it takes to land the contractand failing to deliver because there is nothing the consumer can doonce NWP holdsthe consumer deposit and stage payments.

I signed my contractin late April 2010with the promise of my pool being completed in 45 days (but no later than July 24th). One of the items that was very important to me was a remote that would allow me to operate all the the features of the pool (change LED light color, heat pool and spa, control blower and operate my deck water jets). I was given 5 full color brochures including one pagewith the Jandy Aqualink remote system, the one I told my sales person I wanted was the PDA version.I was shockedwhen the electrician came 60 days laterwith a remote that looked like a garage door opener from 1972,with 2 functions (blower and LED light on/off). This remote was nowhere in the brochures and was cleaverly coded in my contract as an IC100.I furiously contacted Keith Stuart (President)and Santiago Serna (Sales Rep)only to be told "thats the one in your contract". Bait and switch is defined as "advertising a product with many features to lure a customer, thengiving the consumer a product withfewer features than the one advertised". This is EXACTLY what NWP did.

Look at Nationwide's website and you will see several sales pitch "Guarantees"thatare reiterated by their sales people, ALL of which are meaningless because if they do not meet these guaranteesand there is no recourse.

1. They guarantee "45 day completion": I signed my contract in late April, digging began May 21, 2010 (with no communication on the status of my permit from the time I signed my contract to the date digging began).45 days later,I was still waiting for my plumbing and electrical inspection.ByLabor Day weekend,100 days from beginning of digging, I stillhad no water in my pool as diamondbrite still was not scheduled. I showed up in NWP lobby raising hell which is the only time I got any immediate response from anyone.I received my final inspection December 14th, 2010, almost 200 days from the time NWP began digging.

2.100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee:Keith could care less if his customers are happy. I tried to resolve the remote control bait and switch amicably with Keith, but waited over 2 weeks for a return phone call. Once I finally reached him, his ONLY resolution was for me to pay full retail($1500 above my contracted price) claiming it was a special price. Keith sent me a contract to install the remote and had the nerve to include a stipulation that I WAS NOT TO POST ANY NEGATIVE INFORMATION ABOUT NWP ON THE WEB. As you can see I refused his offer!

I would urge anyone that is considering using Nationwide Pool and Spa to go elsewhere. I spent over 100 days acting as a general contractor, constantly having to contact Stephanie and all of the construction stafftokeep construction moving. Atone point my pool sat 3 weeks with little progress despite excellent weather. In the end they filled my pool with unfiltered water (filtered water is another sales guarantee) causing stains from the minerals in the water mixing with the chemicals adhering to the pool walls. Another 3 days of an unusable pool as they Acid treat the pool!

I wish I had done more online research regarding this company as it is clear there areWAY TOO MANY complaints. Also, look at their BBB complaint record, they have had over 30 complaints filed, so their A- rating is misleading. Feel free to contact me as I would be happy to provide proof of all claims made in this report including pictures and emails from NWP. IF I CAN SAVE EVEN 1 PERSON FROM GOING THROUGH WHAT I HAD TO ENDURE, I WILL CONSIDER THIS REPORT A SUCCESS.
