My husband and I refinanced our home with Aegis Mortgage. after awhile, we got a letter stating Ocwen was taking over and we started having to pay Ocwen. We were not notified of any changes. when we were finally able to contact a person at Ocwen, they informed us that they were a collection agency for Aegis Mortgage.

Over 6 months, our interest rate sky-rocketed to 13.5%. Ocwen told us it was because we were behind (had a hardship and got a month behind, but were still making payments to them for the entire next 2 months and actually catching up).

As we were trying to catch up, we asked if they would refinance for a lower interest rate. They said absolutely not and that they were just a collection agency for Aegis.

We tried and tried to contact them and finally got some guy that could barely speak English. After trying to speak with him, he told me that they would work with us and send us a packet of paperwork. 4 days later, while we waited for the paperwork, we received a forclosure notice. After calling them and asking why, they informed me they decided to forclose instead of work with us.

We had to spend $1500 and hire a Loss Mitigation company to help us out of the forclosure.

Today, we were told by the Loss Mitigation firm that Aegis went bankrupt and Ocwen was our mortgage company. I thought they were just a collection agency for Aegis?
SO....Ocwen decided they are now going to work with us and offered us a loan restructure. after we sign the contract, they have reserved the right to add on all fees accrued from the original forclosure.

Don't need a law degree to know NOT to sign that one!

Nice, ay? If anyone has been through this or knows how we can get some justice, please let me know!!!

Are we being RAPED from both sides?

AUTHOR: Andrea - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 17, 2010

We had our loan in 2000 with Aegis Mortgage and they sold our loan to Wells Fargo in one year.  So, in 2001, we've been with Wells Fargo.  I knew mortgage companies had the right to sale your mortgage note whenever they wanted to, but today I've been hearing people's loans being sold every year or every two years, and the change is who is servicing your loan has made the mortgage companies RICHER.  People claim they are not being notified in time to where to send their payments and some have changed the terms of the loan.  Lots of scams and fraud in the mortgage industry.

It seems to me the mortgage companies and (all the various extensions of them) are by design creating hardships for its customers in an attempt make people get late charges or add on more fees of sort.  It seems today that buying a home is more of a scam than a purchase.  We're being raped from the front and the back by both the mortgage companies and the collection agencies and the refinance companies pretending to help.  In your case, it seems to me that both Ocwen and Aegis are teaming up together against you and demanding you pay them more money for late fees they help created.  You are being forced to pay one or the other, now, that Aegis has gone bankrupt (is is really true)---you are left to deal with Ocwen on its terms if you want any help at all.  Why are they doing this to people?  Are you close to paying off your home?  Do you have 10 plus years of ownership?  Are they creating problems for people who are half way thur their 30 year mortgages?

I can't help but think that ALL the mortgages companies are conspiring to rape and rob the American people of their homes, whether you pay on time or late, they want you to pay forever and they want to create diversions of home trouble for us---this helps them get MORE money while they foreclose on others and when they feel like they made a bad home deal with someone else, they will STICK the cost to the people who are still paying for their homes.  Both the mortgage companies, and finance companies are feeding off of the homeowners, and their greed has no end which is why the housing market collapsed and continues to struggle.

You can only rape people for so long, then the trouble turns in on you.  It's time for them to reap the bad seeds they have sown.  It is a spiritual law and a natural law.  In natural law, whatever you plant may not come up but what you don't want WILL.  They sowed seeds of fraud, greed, and scams and now they will reap just that plus an extra bonus:  People want care about their credit score anymore (they use that as a tool to control you and force you to pay them whatever; now that has been compromised, ) and jobs are trying to enforce hiring folks on credit rating (never been an issue in the past like it is now, why?---because people are losing faith in the credit system (full of mistakes, etc, Indentity theif,) jobs are not paying fair wages, lost jobs and low morale and the value of the dollar is decreasing rapidly.   The blanket attitude will be:  No job, can't pay, no need to worry cause you can't find a job.  People will get to the point they will throw the money into the streets!!!

These companies aren't gonna be able to force people to pay for stuff, when the people dont care about having their stuff anymore!  People want buy houses, they'll rent instead and move when they feel they are being exploited for higher rates.  Merchants will be able to sell food more than anything, because once you eat, it's gone, but clothing and things that last longer, people will just keep them longer and maintain what they have longer.
