A customer service rep. from one stop motors contacted me on 6-28-05 and gave me a great sales pitch on how they have corporate level affiliation with major online advertisers like e-bay and yahoo.

They claim that they make their money on the financing of the vehicle. I was going to set up an add with them, I gave them my credit card info and I was supposed to send them pictures of my 2005 Custom Chopper Motorcycle and I was supposed to sign a contract with them.

A couple days later I found somebody interested in purchasing my motorcycle so I didn't send them any pictures and I never filled out or signed a contract. I sold my motorcycle on 7-13-05.

I noticed that my credit card had been charged and I contacted one stop motors to find out why and that I wanted it credited back to my card. They refused to do so. I reminded them that the $299.00 was to cover the advertising and we never set anything up.

The declined my request. One stop motors said that they had taken their time to get it started and that I would have to meet six requirements in order to be entitled to a refund. I met my requirements and got no response.

One Stop Motors provides what they say they will

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 29, 2006

One Stop Motors (OSM) would like to take the opportunity to respond to Jason from Yuma, Arizona and his concerns.

OSM does indeed have corporate level affiliations with major on-line advertisers such as Yahoo and Ebay as well as Google, MSN, AltaVista and others. We use all of these resources to advertise our client's vehicles depending upon the package that they purchase.

OSM also does provide access to financing for the potential buyers and we do indeed make money on the back end of the financing. OSM collects a finder's fee on each financing application that results in a completed contract. This is the same with all of the automobile dealers in the country.

Jason freely admits that he gave his credit card information to purchase an advertising package for his 2005 Custom Chopper Motorcycle and he claims he was supposed to send in photos and sign a contract with OSM. OSM does provide an Advertising Confirmation Document (ACD) to all of our clients detailing each party's responsibilities in the advertising of the client's vehicle. As this is a telephone transaction, there are no signatures required. The act of giving a form of payment constitutes a purchase.

Jason also admits that a couple of days went by when he found someone to buy my motorcycle so he claims that this is the reason that he never sent in photos or signed a contract. In actuality and by his own admission again, he did not sell his motorcycle until July 13, 2005. More than two weeks after buying an advertising package from OSM. Unlike some advertising companies out there OSM does not waste our client's time in putting together an advertisement for the client. If the client has not sent photos by the time OSM is ready to add them, one of the services that we provide is that we add a stock photo to the ad until the pictures arrive. This was done in Jason's case and his advertising campaign was completed.

Jason then noticed that my credit card had been charged. What did he expect? He purchased and advertising package and the work was done. He claims to have contacted OSM to find out why and to say that I wanted it credited back to my card. He claims that OSM refused to do so. This is correct as OSM did indeed provide each and every service that he purchased a full two full weeks before he sold his motorcycle. He claims to have reminded us that it was for advertising and that we never set anything up. He is incorrect. When his information was collected at the time he gave his credit card payment, his advertising was set up.

Jason then claims that we told him that he had to meet six requirements in order to receive a refund. He is correct. OSM was the ONLY company that EVER offered a 30 day money back guarantee. There were six requirements that had to be met in order to qualify for the refund. Jason claims that he met these requirements and that he got no response. This is incorrect. If indeed he had sent in the proper documentation he would have received a prompt refund. To date this information has not been received in our office. In fact, if he can send it in to this day I will personally ensure that he receives his refund. He may send it to my attention at One Stop Motors. My information is below.

In short, Jason received everything he purchased and even had a 30 day money back guarantee to back it up. He currently has not provided the documentation to support his request for a refund, however, as I stated before, I will honor that request for him once the proper documentation is received. Due to clients actually sending in forged State documents in order to get refunds that they were not entitled to, OSM has had to discontinue this guarantee.

I invite anyone to call or email me personally to answer their questions or concerns they may have regarding One Stop Motors.
