Back in June, I was contacted on the phone by a representative of Onestopmotors.com named Katie. Katie told me that she had people waiting in line to buy a car like mine, and said her company would sell it, take care of financing and shipping, and it would only cost $400, and if they could not sell it within 30 days, my money would be refunded, but they would still attempt to sell it, and if they were successful, I would be more than glad to pay them their $400. This seems good to me, but first, I checked the Ripoffreport.com, the name seems to be clear! So I agreed to this, and made the payment. After a week I couldn't even find the web site. When I called no one called back.

So, I called my credit card company and asked them to remove the charges from my card. Low and behold I received a rebuttal to this from Rob Wilder president showing all the work his company did, the correct website url and yahoo.com info on them advertising my vehicle. Thus the credit card company paid one stop motors and I'm out $400. By this time the 30 days refund limit was over and I couldn't get my money back. I find out that Katie told me the web site was onestopautos.com, to which Rob Wilder told me they would never say. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, they're all liars!

In addition to not getting refunded, the service I got for what I paid was dismal. The e-bay auction was a joke, auctioned by an E-bay user that had never had a sale in his life. All these claims about incessant phone calls? All true. The salesman that got me was the first to get a-hold of me. Now, just to show you the scam operation at work here, I got 20 calls thereafter from the SAME company, trying to sell me the SAME sales package. I also come to learn that the financing company I was told that Onestopmotors.com utilizes, HAS NEVER HEARD ABOUT ONESTOPMOTORS.COM.

I was badly taken by these guys, and I hope someone gets a suit on these turkeys and soon! Stay away from Onestopmotors.com!

One Stop Motors does exactly what they say they will do.

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 17, 2006

One Stop Motors (OSM) would like to take this opportunity to respond to Greg from Washington, Michigan and his claims about our company.

Greg claims that Katie told him that OSM had people waiting in line to buy a car like mine. Unfortunately that is not the case. OSM personnel NEVER claim to have any buyers waiting for any particular vehicle at any particular time. We simply state that we have sold similar vehicles in the past, and then explain our advertising package to our potential clients. This package does include the ability for the potential buyer to secure financing, and extended warranty, and nationwide shipping, should they require these services. While at the time that Greg purchased his package, OSM did indeed offer a 30 day money back guarantee, but it was nothing like Greg claims here. OSM's 30 day money back guarantee was for our clients who SOLD their vehicle within the first 30 days of listing it with OSM and could provide verifiable that the services of OSM were not used in the sale, and notarized documentation of the sale at the asking price of the listing price they set with OSM or higher as well as the transfer documents were provided. That is not the case here. Greg also claims that he could not find the website and that he was given the name ONESTOPAUTOS.com. Again, this is not the case. He claims to have called and no one called him back. If he called his salesperson, then the message would have been given to the customer service team and it was returned within one business day. If Greg would have called the customer service team during business hours Pacific Time his call would have been answered live.

Greg then attempted to chargeback the purchase he made with his credit card company. He complains that he was not able to get a refund from them. This is because he received everything that he purchased form OSM. The rebuttal from the Owner of the company, Rob Wilder, showed that the work was done. Greg is in no way out $400. He paid to advertise his vehicle and ALL of the work was done. Greg received a welcome packet from OSM that contained all of the information he needed to send us photos; in fact, he sent them to us at photos@onestopmotors.com. If our email address, that he emailed his photos to, contains our company name, why would he even look for a different company name? He wouldn't. He was told the correct name at the time of his purchase, and given that information again in his welcome packet.

Greg then goes on to claim that the service he got was dismal. With all due respect, he certainly is entitled to his opinion. However, I challenge anyone to find better service for the same price than what OSM offers. Greg received everything he paid for. An eBay auction, which he claims was a joke because he claims we had not sold anything on eBay at the time. This is again, incorrect as we did have sales prior to his signing up and we can provide proof to anyone that asks for it. His keyword optimization was completed and did indeed bring his vehicle to the top of the first page of the major search engines. OSM has even provided services to Greg that were not available at the time he signed up, in the form of a free AutoCheck report. Greg then goes on to complain that he received more than one call attempting to sell him the very same package. While OM works very hard to prevent duplicate calls, we do not have control over where or how many other types of advertising our clients may purchase. As OSM attempts to help as many private sellers as possible, we use many different sources to determine who we call. If our clients are in more than one medium, then there is a chance that they may receive and additional call or two, but they would not have received anywhere near 20 calls from our company. Greg also claims that one of our financing partners has never heard about OSM. Greg does not state which of our affiliated financing partners he called, or whether it was to the corporate office or just a local branch, but there aren't many companies out there that will discuss any arrangements that they have set up with another company with just anyone that calls in to ask about their private business dealings. We do indeed have an affiliated partnership with all of the financing companies and banks that we do business with.

Greg claims he was badly taken by OSM and that he hopes someone gets a suit on us soon. If getting everything that you purchased as well as a full time customer service staff and access to financing and shipping (things that are not normally available to private sellers) constitutes being badly taken then I think that Greg needs to check his dictionary again. OSM always provides the most aggressive advertising available to help our clients sell their vehicles in a timely fashion. I request that Greg or, for that matter, anyone with questions or concerns contact me directly to have them answered.
