I worked for this company for almost three months before I had to leave because I ended up working for free.  This is a telemarketing company that "supposedly" helps customers lower their gas bills by changing to an alternative gas supplier.  We were given a script to read and were promised $12 for each customer that we signed up.  At first, it appeared as if we were being paid correctly, but as time went on, all of the sales staff started to notice discrepancies in their checks.  Supposedly, OMG received a cancellation report from their client which listed all of the customers who had cancelled.  We generally lost around 10% of our deals to cancellation, and the company was very good about giving us a print out of our cancels and the reasons why the customers cancelled.  But as time went on, our number of cancels increased dramatically.  What used to be 10% now became in excess of 50%, and the company refused to give us any reporting of our cancellations.  We were told if we did not like it we could hit the door.  Also, if we had to miss a day during the week, our pay was cut from $12 per deal down to $8 per deal.  The company employs mainly Department of Corrections work release prisoners who are paid an hourly wage, but receive cash under the table that is not reported to the Department of Corrections.  Why should a convict receive special priveledges that other employees don't?  What was once a really fun, exciting place to work has become a dungeon of stress.  We work 37.5 hours a week and it is really hard to take home more than $100 in a week.  They have run off most of the good help, including the manager John, who is probably the only one that truly knew what was going on.  The owners, Rob and Matt, spend most of their time next door at Rachel's strip club probably spending our money on strippers and buying drinks for their convict employees.  This outfit is truly a bunch of misfits...they have one male rep that pretends to be Ms. Davis on the phone, other reps who can't speak decent English and a whole bunch of reps who speak nothing other than ebonics.  These people were run out of their last company, Total Marketing Concepts, and it looks like they have brought all of the thieving and lying tactics of TMC to OMG.  Stay away from these people unless you like working for free.

OMG DOES BETTER THAN GOOD

AUTHOR: Happy Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 23, 2010

I work at OMG and so far have had nothing but good experiences besides occasional bad leads...but every company has that.  They take care of their people and help those who others may not.  BTW: The criminals they mention are those who have gotten in trouble for not paying child support, driving under suspension, etc.  It's pretty shallow when the POS that posted negatively talks bad about other employees when they sound like the ones that are scum.

I do get cancels and you better believe I look at the report each week to make sure that they are accurate.  So far everything has been on the up and up.  The owners are good guys who give loans out to their employees if something comes up (who else does that these days), they bend over backwards to help those who may need a ride, etc.

The complaints sound like someone who missed a lot of work or TM just wasn't for them.  Thank God OMG has gotten rid of these kinds of people...get the negativity out and keep the happy smiling people in.  There's always a few bad apples that you have to throw out!!!  lol

The best part about OMG is the opportunity to move up in a company that has strong roots that have just been planted.  Everyone who works there has the chance to take on new roles and make more and more money.

So to the haters who posted because they either sucked on the phone or missed to much work...GOOD RIDDANCE!!!  I know of a few POS's that have left recently which I am sure is who posted and TRUST ME...WE ARE ALL BETTER OFF WITHOUT YOU!  I'm sure you'll be complaining about your new job soon...rules aren't always meant to be broken!
