I received an e-mail solictation from SurveyRewards. com offering me a $500.00 Wal-Mart Gift Card. The instructions were to fill out the on-line form and complete all the offers that were mentioned. When I learned what was really involved I closed the window and deleted the e-mail.
Shortly thereafter I received another e-mail from www.SurveyRewards.com thanking me for registering with them. I din't think anything about it at the time, and completely forgot about them, although their e-mails regarding the Wal-Mart Gift Card keep appearing in my inbox. After doing some research I finally found the correct link to unsubscribe from Survery Rewards. com. I was told it would take about 10 business days to complete the unsubscribe, however, on their web site there is a disclaimer stating that they only send e-mails from regular dept. stores or electronic stores such as Best Buy, and Circuit City offering the same reward gift cards for completing all the obligations attached to the offer.

On Friday Oct. 19, 2007 I checked my on-line telephone account, but my bill was not ready to view. On Saturday Oct. 20, 2007 I logged in again and noticed there was an unusual charge to my local phone bill from ILD TeleServices. I called the toll free number listed and spoke with a customer service representative, because I did not understand the charge of $13.60 for a voice mail service I never subscribed to. I asked the person who I was speaking with how this happened, and I was told that www.SurveyRewards.com had submitted my name, address, and telephone number to PBA VMAILMT. I cannot find any web address under this listing.

I did find out that the toll free number went directly to PBA VMAILMT. When I finished explaining to the customer services representative the charge for $13.60 was credited to my account and my mysterious voice mail account was canelled.

I never submitted the on-line form to www.SurveyRewards.com so I don't know the real reason I received their e-mail thanking me for registering with them.

In a sense I did not get ripped off, for my account for the amount of $13.60 for the PBA VMAILMT account, was credited, and it was closed.

I also learned that ILD TeleServices is the billing agent for PBA VMAILMT.

I did not accept any of the conditions in order to obtain the Wal-Mart Gift Card for $500.00, and did not submit the form to make the transaction legal. I just closed the window and deleted their e-mail. I receive an e-mail from them almost every day stating this is the last attempt to confirm my Wal-Mart Gift Card, and I do not open it. I delete it immediately. It goes to my junk mail account, and not my regular e-mail account.

If you receive reports from other people stating that there is no way to contact www.SurveyRewards.com. There is, but you must not include the word Center in the address as the site will not be found.

I found your Ripoff Report by typing in this address: SurveyRewardsCenter.com and a web page opened with a list of complaints. I clicked on the link to the Circuit City Gift Card. The person said he completed all the obligations to receive the gift card, but he never got it, and there was no way to contact them, but there is. Actually there are two ways to contact them.

1) to unsubscribe from www.SurveyRewards.com type the addess as it appears here. At the bottom of the page there is a link to unsubscribe from their mailing list. There is another link on your page but it is not correct. The correct link is: www.purelyunsub.com. do not add the words Survey Rewards Center as the web site cannot be found. Leave out the last words that include SurveryRewards. and stop at www.purelyunsub.com and a page will open with just an unsubscribe notice and a space to add the e-mail addresses to stop receiving their e-mails.

I am unable to file a legal complaint against ILD TeleServices as they are just the billing agent for PBA VMAILMT. And I cannot legally file a complaint against PBA VMAILMT as they did credit my account, and closed my account with them. My problem is I don't know how I was registered with PBA VMAILMT. I do not remember ever agreeing to an Internet voice mail account. I do not have a microphone or the software to make Internet telephone calls. What I was told by the representive from PBA VMAILMT was that any Internet phone number I called would be billed to my PBA account.

this whole affair is a complete mystery to me, and I can't figure out how this happened. But what I do know is that it won't ever happen again.

Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy report, I appreciate your patience very much.

Sincerely,
Stephen R XXXXXX
