I had an auto collision back in July, 2007. File a claim with my insurance company and had the repaired done at Post Oak Collsion Center in Houston, TX since they were the one that orginally towed my Acura TL. My first intention was to take it to the acura dealer to get the damage repaired. But my husband uncle knew the tow guy and word of mouth from him said that Post Oak Collision does a really good job. From what my husband saw it seem like they did excellent work. I was not sold just because It was a brand new car and it is an acura TL, but he was so we decided to give them an opportunity since they seem nice and did tow our car. Long story short, it was a bodyshop of our choice obviously. First of all, they took forever with our car; over 30 days and in the whole process we had to keep up with them by calling them to check on the status of our car. They did not have the courtesy to call us and keep us updated on the car. In addition, it took them over 45 days to get the car ready, when they said it would have took less than 30 days. In this process we were moving from Houston to Mission, TX. Down south of Texas. Finally they claim to be done went to get our car to drive it down to mission. When we got it we notice that the car was making a loud noise whenever we made a right turn. Call Post Oak and told them about the noise since afterall, they claim to be a lifetime warranty bodyshop. They were no help whatsoever said that we need to call geico. Therefore, called up my adjuster and took it to one of their bodyshop to have it inspected to see what the problem was. They were very unknowledegabe. Don't know what kind of bodyshop they call themselve. Took it to firestone and found what the problem was. My husband took it back the Geico's bodyshop again and try to let them find out where the noise was coming from. They inspected it for a second and third time. Finally found the same thing firestone found. Worst of all, they found out that they were about 4 parts that they paid for that was not even replaced by Post Oak Collsion Center. Imagine that 4 parts Geico paid the bodyshop to buy and fix they did not even buy and repaired. The noise of the car consist of one those parts as well. The bottom line is we trusted Post Oak Collision to repaired the car properly, instead we were not only robbed of that job but we were deceived as well. In my opinion, that is one of the worst thing you could do to a person. They lie, cheated, and stole from us. That in itself is a crime. I wish it did not have to come to this, but we gave them so many chances. My husband and I have been back and forth on the phone with them for the past 3 1/2 months trying to resolve this issue and nothing have been done. I am fed up now and I gave them their chances to make this right even after what they have done to us. I believe it giving people second chances. We gave them the opportunity to make it up to us by buying the parts Geico had paid for and replacing the parts in the car. A job they were suppose to do in the beginning. But it seem they have been beating around the bush and is just fooling us. I need some legal advice on how to pursue this matter. I really need something to get done and I don't thing anyone as a consumer should go through something like this. Imagine getting in a collision is bad enough, but being misled and rob from a bodyshop is even worst. It makes you think how many bodyshop companies can you really trust. Are they replacing the parts they are being paid to replace. Please help! I did a lot of research on this I need someone that will help us get this matter resolved as soon as possible. Our car sounds horrible. Thank you.

Post Oak Collision Should be OUT OF BUSINESS!

AUTHOR: MAREK - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 19, 2012

I was in a car accident 6 weeks ago, and my truck was towed to Post Oak Collision, and I still do NOT have my truck. I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 with barely a 100,000 miles on it. I've NEVER had any engine problem with my truck. I rear-ended another truck and was towed to this location. I signed what was EXPLAINED to me as a tow receipt. This was on a Friday afternoon; the adjuster came out the following Tuesday and looked at the vehicle and gave his update on it. The next Friday was the day my husband and I went to sign the authorization for them to start the work on it. They told us it would take 3 weeks. At the end of my 35 days for my insurance to pay for my rental, I stayed on them saying my rental was almost up; and how much longer would it take. They told me it would a Friday (4weeks later), it wasn't ready. Then it was supposed to be ready on the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... I FINALLY get a phone call, saying that my truck was NOT ready and had to be towed to Northwest Dodge. Friday I go up to Northwest Dodge after I received a phone from Post Oak Collision telling me that my fuel system is going to have to be repaired. I went up to Northwest Dodge and they showed me the fuel that was taken out of my tank. It had algae in it from not running. They also pointed that after my truck had been painted someone at Post Oak had added fuel. Post Oak Collision said they were going to FILE the repairs on MY insurance, because it is MY fault that fuel system is ruined! I was also told that my truck is old and worn out. My adjuster came out and took a look at everything and spoke to Northwest Dodge, and it was determined that my truck needs more repairs due to it sitting at Post Oak Collision for MORE than a month! It was also pointed out the work that was done was by far the WORST job ever. Post Oak Collision's excuse, they weren't finished. They had my truck for OVER a month and they were NOT finished. Now they are refusing to pay for the damage, and they are refusing to give me their garage keeper's policy information, so I can make the claim on their insurance; which is illegal. Yousef (the owner), told me he would pay $500.00 to the repairs at Northwest Dodge, when as of now we are sitting at 1650.00, not too mention that they haven't figured out which of the injector's are going to need replacing. Those are $1700.00 a piece; I have 6 of them in my truck... I had to get a lawyer and I am going to sue them. My insurance agency is now looking into the repairs that were supposedly done to my truck, because they think they are trying to do insurance fraud. They were paid about $6000.00 to fix my truck, and they ruined my truck! Do NOT ever use this company! The owner is an idiot, they are LIARS!! They do NOT know what they are doing. I think they are involved in insurance fraud! I will keep everyone updated on how court goes!

While we at Post Oak Collision Center, Inc. work diligently

to repair customer's collision repairs in a timely manner and to the

satisfaction of the customer, some customer's just do not understand that we

have to wait for their insurance company adjuster to come out and adjust the

damage to their vehicle. We do not control the insurance companies and have no

control over the time frame that they use. Furthermore, an adjuster may come

out and write an estimate and give us authorization to start repairs and when

the repairs start, we see "hidden damage" and have to wait for the

adjuster to come out again and authorize what is called a

"supplement" for the repairs to their vehicle. We have been in

business for over 20 years and we didn't make it this far by performing the way

that this customer is claiming they were treated. This claim has no merit, as

it was posted "anonymously" and I would personally be happy to oblige

this person in a serious conversation about what really happened with their

vehicle, if in fact their vehicle was ever even repaired at Post Oak Collision

Center. I assure anyone that reads this, our business is primarily returning

customer's or customer referrals, and that comes from providing quality service

to the best of our ability and providing a written lifetime warranty. I hope

this sheds some light on the situation.
