My Name: Yasser A****
Paypal Account: (((email redacted)))
Current Paypal Balance: $1,273.10
Ebay Seller Account: Badboyyaz1
(90 Positive Feedback, 100% Feedback Rating)

Paypal has closed my account, and has decided to hold my balance of $1,273.10 for 180 days. Paypal customer support is providing no assistance. I have submitted all documents that were requested, already showing that all the transactions were legal and items were shipped to the customer after payment and they have been received. I am currently unemployed and the amount that is being held on my account is needed to pay bills and other expenses.  45 days will result in many late charges that will not be reimbursed and I cannot afford.  I am not running a business, was just hoping to sell some OLD personal items that hold some value so I can afford to make ends meet.

When I contacted Paypal regarding the limitations, I was on the line for more than 60 minutes, was transferred around about 6 times until I was speaking to the limitation department manager and she told me after paypal decides to close the account there is nothing she can do and I need to wait until my funds are released.  I told her I have credit cards to pay, ebay seller fees and numerous bills, her response was that all she can do is use my balance to pay my ebay fees and I decided paying ebay is not a priority if my paypal account will be suspended indefinitely.

Also, I am a victim of credit card chargeback scams, had a buyer contact me asking to pick up the item because he lives locally and would like to save on shipping then two months later contacted his credit card and report he never purchased anything.  I took a huge loss and my paypal account was limited until I was able to afford to bring it back from a -$500+ balance.  Management in the Paypal customer service department told me the transaction had “Buyer Protection” so I was not protected as a seller and my only option was to take the lose that I really could not afford.

Paypal Not Being a Monopoly

AUTHOR: Anthony - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 09, 2013

Listen, I sold on ebay for 8 years.  I had 40,000 feedback.  I have been making money online for 13 years with no job.

There are basically 3 companies that own ALL processing online, virtually.  You have Visa, Ebay(Paypal) who own probably 90% of all that is processed online.

And I am guessing Visa processes Paypal's orders.  So, basically, Visa processes virtually ALL payments online.

Just because there are a bunch of different companies that WORK WITH AND FOR Visa, doesn't mean there is no monopoly.

So, you are correct in saying Paypal has no monopoly.  However, you are wrong thinking there is none.
I guess if you want to be anal, you could say, "Well its only a monopoly when 100% is owned by one person".

Whatever, you get the point.
