Pimsleur Internet scam for a $9.95 trial of language CDs leads to automatic shipments and billing Philadephia Pennsylvania

Pimsleur advertises on the Internet for a $9.95 trial of language tapes with a marketing presentation that promises you will be speaking another language (the basics) in 10 days; this is false, the instruction is limited, repetitive (contrrary to the Internet presentation) and very boring.   Pimsleur sends you two CDS for the $9.95 and then starts automatic shipments of CDS for $256 a box, billing at $64 per month.   The invoice says nothing about returning the CDS, or cancelling.  The information is conveniently buried within the CD inner package which one may think that if opened is accepted.   I did not open the black box with the tapes, intending to find time to cancel and return.  Got another shipment.   Called Pimsleur - first denied returning anything - that the notices were on the Internet ad - they were not -they may be on the company's Internet website (which I did not go to), but then relented and said they would accept the last shipment, cancel future shipments but would not take back the first shipment.  I am shipping back the first shipment.
