Platinum Family Fitness Whitby lying, scamming, gym Whitby Ontario

My son and his friend (who where only 18 at the time) were told that they could sign up to Platinum Fitness in Whitby for only the summer in 2013.  They were told that they could cancel anytime.

When they tried to cancel in October as they returned to school they were told that this was not the case.  Only being 18 they didn't realize that the employee who told them that was lying and that this was never on the contract.

Now they sent it to a collections agency who is now trying to collect $1,400.00.  They just sent a letter a month prior saying it was $700.00

Never join this gym.  They lie to get unsuspecting students and others in their door. 

Join the YMCA they are a great gym that truly is family oriented, honest and respectful!
