On March 13, 2012 I realized I had a leak coming from my bathroom toilet so I called Plumbing Rescue to evaluate the problem and they came out on March 14,2012.  Plumbing Rescue told me the piping was corroded and needed to be replaced. I gave them permission to begin working after telling me the cost would be $12,602.00. After being told the work wouldn't take longer than one week, they pushed back the finish date to two weeks then to three. My house was not in liveable conditions due to the dust that consumed it. I was out of my house from March 15th to April 10th and had to ask my tenant to arrange for a place to stay. I would come back to check on the status of the work everyday except for the days I was at work (I am a Firefighter/Paramedic and work 24 hour shifts) to find two men sitting on the front
porch smoking while my front door was open with the air conditioning running, as well as another employee playing pool on my billiards table.

One day that I showed up, I counted at least 5 men "working" on my plumbing issue. Once the work was finally finished, my ending bill was $15,757.00 for the replacement plumbing in one bathroom. I thought the pricing was outrageous but I paid.

On June 25th , my toilet was leaking again and I noticed a bowl filled with water under the vanity sink. I called Plumbing Rescue and asked them to fix the problem I initially paid them to fix. They sent a plumber out to reevaluate the issue and
said some things needed to be fixed-the toilet needed a new wax ring and the sink needed a new P trap.
I then decided to contact two other plumbing companies who they compete with, and get an estimate on the work that Plumbing Rescue did. I did not let the companies know the job was already done. Red Cap Plumbing told me they would charge $1,775.00 and Bayonet Plumbing told me they would charge $3,040.00. I then felt like I was taken advantage of for being a female and not knowing anything about plumbing. I contacted Plumbing Rescue and asked to speak
with the General Manager. I explained to him my  situation and he agreed to come and assess the problem in person. I
contacted them yesterday , July 16th, to check the status of the situation and they sent me a copy of an estimate done by Xactimate with adetailed list of what they said they did. Many things on that estimate were not done and were listed multiple times. They also said they would reimburse me $1500.00 for being dissatisfied but they felt like the
estimate and the job was done at the right price. I looked up their reviews and they have many similar cases to mine.
