Don't do what I did. Check out a company before you buy from them.
I ordered a spa pump, I was charged on my credit card right away. My order was supposed to ship in 1-3 business days. After a week I tried to call, no one answers theur phone at any department. There is no human to speak to and they do not return messages.
They also don't reply to emails, I know, I sent FIVE.
I just wish I had read the Ripoff report earlier or checked the BBB which shows over 100 compliants in the last year.
I guess that's a $200 lesson well learned for me. Don't make the same mistake, stay away from PoolDeals.com or DPD Pools or whatever they are calling themselves this week!!!!!

Ex Employee rebuttal Way Off Base!

I see an ex-employee responded to Laura from Harpers Ferry West VA. Saying there was no intentional scamming going on but how can she explain the 31 reports filed on this web site and the 203 BBB complaints in just the last year?
I have yet to get a response from the company on my situation. Charlie Goss takes your money then leaves you on your own to resolve any issues you may have with delivery, quality, etc.
I had no choice but to install the pump I eventually got from him because he will not respond my emails and there is certainly no one answering the phone.
The second pump I ordered (since his did not show up initially) cost me a 25% restocking fee ($60) plus return shipping($37).
So it cost me almost $100 because he doesn't have the common decency to communicate with his customers!
I did contact my credit card company who in turn refunded my money, then I had to turn around and tell them to take it back because I eventually got my pump and could not return it because the company would not respond to me. I felt it was the right thing to do. I don't beleive Charlie Goss deserved the money but I did receive a product and the credit card company should not have to suffer along with the rest of us.
As for the comment about not being able to understand people from the deep south........wow, that is an ignorant statement.
I am from the south and speak plain ENGLISH. If "yous" understand this update than "yous" should be able to understand all of our frustrations.
I just hope justice is served and the authorities look into Mr. Charlie Goss and he gets what he deserves!
His age and inexperience is not my problem if he can't handle a company
he should try flipping burgers or something.

Got a pump from "someone" yesterday

Yesterday I received a pump from "someone". At this point it's unclear who it's from because I ordered another one since Pool Deals was unresponsive to my emails and I still can't seem to speakt to a human.
Also the pump was shipped from California, Pool Deals is in NY.
I have to assume it's from them because I got an email from them TODAY stating it has just shipped (remember, it showed up yesterday). Pool Deals website still shows as shippment pending.
The other company I ordered it from, there website shows a tracking number and Fedex is supposed to deliver it later this week. I have emailed "charlie@pooldeals AGAIN. (though I don't expect a response) to try to find out if it's his and how I can send it back.

Today I filed a report with the NY State Attorney General (oag.state.ny.us/), called my credit card company and filed fraud charges and emailed "Charlie@pooldeals.com". I'll keep you posted. This guy has to be stopped.
