October 21, 2011 A friend and I went to Pruitt's Auto care in Farmers Branch. I'm a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran and I don't work. I needed something to do. I was going to try to buy an old Ford wrecker that a friend told me was fore sale there.

When we got there there was a old Ford wrecker out front with three American flags decorating it. I went inside and talked to Earnest Pruitt. I asked if the wrecker was forsale and he said it was and I should make him an offer. I told him I thought it was priced at $2000. He told me what all was broken on the wrecker and said he would take less than $2000.

Allen and I went to inspect the wrecker. The mechanic came out and showed us how the wrecker bed worked. The truck was old and had problems but Allen and I agreed it was repairable. I went inside and my Pruitt and I reach an agreement that I would buy the wrecker for $1500. I told him I needed to go to a Bank of America for the money and asked for directions. He didn't know of one. I said that was OK and I woul be back with the money in a little while. Allen and the mechanic were still talking and the mechanic told of a bank a short distance away on Josey Lane. Allen and I went there got the money and came back we were gone about 30 minutes. When I went inside to pay Mr. Pruitt he said he had changed his mind. I was speechless. I couldn't believe that a man who owned and operated a business wouldn't keep his word. I was raised that your word was your bond and if your word was no good you weren' either.

Leaving your car to be repaired involves a large amount of trust. You have to trust that you get a fair price and good work. Pruitt's Auto isn't worthy of your trust.

Truck For Sale

AUTHOR: Pruitt''s Auto Care - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 04, 2013

I am always saddened when someone feels that our business has made light of any situation, where they left unhappy. This gentleman, stopped in my shop, out of nowhere, insisting he wanted to buy my old wrecker. I have had the wrecker for many years and never really considered selling it.

It has sat on the parking lot for a long time with the Flags on it. When he continue to want to buy it, I told him to give me a price. He was very insistent on obtaining the wrecker to tinker on. He said he would go to the bank and get the money. I told him the vehicle had to have paperwork done. He did not want to go through the process of completing this. I really didn't want to sell the truck. I said that several times to him. I feel like this man was trying so hard to buy the truck, it didn't matter what I said.

I am sincerely sorry that this situation happened. It is not the practice of Pruitts to be characterized like this. We have always done honest business and this gentleman, made a one time stop, to get something for a good price that he wanted. When I would not compromise on my principals, he posted this negative review. This action has nothing to do with our business in Farmers Branch. We have many great customers and are getting new loyal customers daily. I am wondering if this man is sitting across from our shop, stalking us. How would he guage our business traffic, if he wasn't stalking us.

You only have to look at REAL CUSTOMER REVIEWS to see that we are reputable and honest and good at what we do. If anyone is truly trying to find HONEST AUTO REPAIR, then call us, talk to us.
