RBS has outrages fees charged to my account without authorization. Renews contact without signature. Shady business practices. Always have some sort of fees charged to my account on top of the ones I agreed to. Charges 10.00 for statement fees. % to swipe cards is the highest of all merchant credit Card companys and always goes up.

Terminal equipment is way out of date. Mid 90's equipment. Stay away. Will not stay in business for long that way! DO NO BUSINESS WITH RBS. Worst company ever dealt with being a small business. Not customer friendly at any point. Uneducated sales reps, they know nothing!!! Iam in business to make money not lose it.

Also known as RBS Lynk just change their name to RBS Worldpay. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with RBS for your credit card processing. There are many companys out there the beat thier prices by far and have knowledgable sales reps. I switch and save over 50% per month in all ways plus got up to date terminal. Thanks

RBS Contract Question to ex employee

AUTHOR: Amaddenmk4 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 13, 2009

I am not satisfied with RBS's performance our system has crashed four times so far including today which just happens to be a busy day. I was reading the contract and i saw that one of the terms we agreed on is providing the means of processing a credit card i assume that would be our business being able to accept credit transactions consistently. But, i also read in section ten under Force Majeure that RBS lynk is not held responsible for delays in processing and one of the natural events happens to be non-performance of RBS Lynk. So is it gonna be impossible for me to terminate our contract with RBS due to bad performance of the system or has this term(section 10) that i agreed to pretty much screwed me out of this possibility of termination?

Thank You for your report on RBS a rep just left my office and I looked them up on this web site. I had already told him I wasn't interested. I don't trust these processing companies, so I like to stay with the one I'm already doing business with.

The Truth about RBS Worldpay formerly RBS Lynk

AUTHOR: Firebugg2403 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 22, 2009

I am a former employee of RBS WorldPay. Even though I no longer work for the company I would like to clear something up. For starters the 10.00 statement fee is disclosed in the contract that is signed to start service. It is also much less then other companies that charge $200.00 - $500.00 a year in annual and quaterly fees that RBS WorldPay does not charge. Then the equipment, that depends on the merchant. Just like other companies you may be provided a terminal at the time of signing up (depending on promos at that time) however if there are no promos you are the one who would pick out your terminal and just like other processors you are responsible for upgrading if you are not happy with your terminal or purchasing something different if you do not like the promo terminals. Lastly the contract being renewed with out a signature is not a rip off when you sign a contract that clearly states that after the initial 3 years if you do not make contact with the company to cancel it, then it will auto renew in 1 year intervals each year on the aniversary date of the contract starting and also provides the amount of an early termination fee if you choose to cancel outside of this time frame. So bottom line is if you do not read a contract thoroughly, then do not sign your name to it. If you had read your contract prior to signing it you would not have been surprised at the time you wanted to cancel.
