Reebie sales side was very professional. Bill Reuking made me feel at ease with the move and answered any and all questions without delay. The management on the Chicago side was excellent as well coordinating the move. The packing crew meticulous and very professional. The goods arrived to Seattle a few days before planned ... even better! So what could be wrong.....

And then the goods came off the truck....Damages, damages, damages. The goods were moved on and off four different trucks between Chicago and Seattle - despite being told it would be one truck during the sale. The delivery crew did not want to check the inventory of the 300+boxes moved. They told me to trust me that everything made it. I insisted that all be inventoried against the bill of lading. At which point the female driver huffed and puffed and said they didn't have time. To further discourage me she said all furniture would unwrapped in the middle of the street and brought in without protection and then proceeded to bash my bed frame and crack the headboard in the entrance door. She turned to me and said see I told you so!

I purchased $100,000 worth of insurance to cover very expensive furniture, paintings and bike to make sure in case something went wrong I will be covered full replacement value. Unfortunately Reebie claim that they did not damage anything despite photographic evidence with before and after photos showing otherwise. Mira in the claims department is hopeless. Promises to get back to you in a couple days. A week later nothing. After ring and emailing several more times she says she needs another week!

I am now left with over $21,000 worth of heavily damaged goods which Reebie will not repair/replace. Reebie have gone completely silent say they will no longer speak with me. As for my friend Bill Reuking the attentive salesman - he gives me email addresses and tells me to try someone else. When asked for a postal address or phone number to contact these people directly .... silence. I should listened to other reviews. I have had to cancel the charge on my credit card and despite getting the $7900 back on the move from my bank I have lost $13,000 more in damaged goods.

Reebie Allied do their best to get your business, but once they have it they don't care. If something goes wrong they don't want to know you - especially Bill Reuking. He wants you out of his hands as fast as possible. Truly disappointing.

UPDATE 14 January 2014

After a couple of months of going no where with Mira in claims and Bill the salesman, I was able to obtain the owner of Reebie's contact details. I contacted him and heard nothing at first. I sent a second email letting him know that I would be filing a claim against his company with the Federal government, for which then Sal became all ears.

I received a panicked email and phone call from Sal the owner of Reebie.
Sal seemed genuine about doing the right thing and agreed to pay for the bike repairs. I thought we were headed in the right direction, until Sal got the full bill for repairs on the bikes. There was nearly $1600 in damage to 3 bikes (estimated by local Cannondale dealer in Seattle) for which Sal then decided was only worth paying less than $600. He made the initial payment of less than $600 and then started to lose interest in knowing me.

A couple weeks went by and no movement on the claim. Mira in claims started making every excuse under the sun for why the claim was not complete. It was a second assessor need to come out. After he came, then the excuse was that we did not let him see what he needed to (yet the other items he was meant to evaluate for damage were in the same room).

The trouble started again with finalising the claim with Mira. Mira decided that the damage to coffee table was not Reebie's fault. Despite photographic evidence proving other wise. We have photos of the coffee table the night before it was packed and photos after it was unpacked. There is a 6 inch gouge in the glass top. Mira claims this is from a magazine, as she said the same thing happened to her. I would hate to see a paper cut from Mira's magazines! Unbelievable. $1600 in the garbage.

Mira decided a heavy damaged stainless steel table was only worth $100 despite receipts showing the replacement cost being four times more. A Room and Board bed frame heavily damaged. Mira decides she will only repair half of the repairs recommended by the Reebie assigned claim agent. It is important to note that we had $100,000 in full value replacement which cost about $1000.

So where you may ask is Sal? Sal says your on your own this morning. In fact he went as far as to say that I am ungrateful and I should settle the claim with Allied as he is not willing to deal with the damage caused by his people. I am ungrateful for paying $8000 to move, get $21,000 in belongings damaged and expecting him to be professional in fixing them? If this is the case, then yes I am ungrateful for his lack of professionalism.

I really hoped to update the review with positive reviews after Sal got involved. He seemed genuinely interested. Unfortunately this was a front to get the Federal government off his back whilst he was being investigated. Once he gave responses to the BBB and Federal government showing his gesture to pay for part of the bike repairs to get them off his back, he became the real Sal. Disinterested, rude and unprofessional.

I firmly believe in karma. Best of luck Sal, I hope Reebie is your mover on the road to perdition!

12 Weeks of Excuses and Still No Settlement

After three phone calls and multiple emails he finally agreed to pay for the bike repairs. I thought we were headed in the right direction, until Sal got the full bill for repairs on the bikes. There was nearly $1600 in damage to 3 bikes (estimated by local Cannondale dealer in Seattle) for which Sal then decided was only worth paying less than $600. He made the initial payment of less than $600 and then lost interest in knowing me. When questioned about the rest of the moeny he said I was ungrateful and he was now unwilling to help.

So where you may ask is Sal? Sal emails me and says your on your own last week. In fact he went as far as to say that I am ungrateful and I should settle the claim with Allied, the Federal government, or any other agency I chose as he is not willing to deal with the damage caused by his people. Am I ungrateful for paying $8000 to move, getting $21,000 in belongings damaged and expecting his company to be slightly professional in fixing/replacing them? If this is the case, then yes I am ungrateful for his lack of professionalism. For some reason Sall belives giving me $500 towards the cost of $1600 in bike repairs makes everything okay. Furthermore, he believes this settles the remaining $20,000 in damged goods.

I really hoped to update the review with positive reviews after Sal got involved. He seemed genuinely interested. Unfortunately it appears this was a front to get the Federal government off his back whilst he was being investigated. Once he gave responses to the BBB and Federal government showing his gesture to pay for part of the bike repairs to get them off his back, he became the real Sal. Disinterested, rude and unprofessional. What use is repairing less than 1/2 a bike?

Once Sal reliquinshed himself from resolving the issue of damged goods, he put me on with the parent company Allied (also trading as Sirva). Sirva pushed it back on Sal to fix last week, to which Sal has done nothing. Don't be fooled the genuine Sal's genuine desire to help. If he was so anxious to help why did he kick jthe ball back to Allied and Sirva? Furthermore, when Allied/Sirva kicked the ball back to him last week, why has he once again did nothing to get the train back on the track?

If Sal Manso, president of Reebie is as genuine as he claims in his rebuttal, by all means Sal please step up and fix the problem. Your actions will speak much louder than words.

Mr Rehill

As I explained to you before perhaps not let me try again.Mira Allen does not work for REEBIE nor is she paid any monies from REEBIE or for that matter paid anything from ALLIED or it's parent company SIRVA.

She is an independent claims adjuster and she may in fact work for other moving companies I really don't know but I do know she is paid by some independent contractors ( Truck Drivers who are independent contractors which are common in our industry and they do pay her to represent them  )

Now you are right I have answered all the agencies you have mentioned and that is required by law so I don't know why that is an issue.

I have ever since  I got involved in your situation tried to help/assist you even advise you I even

Paid for your bikes to be repaired when it was denied, but it seems no matter what I do or say it just angers you even more and for that I apologize. So that is why I have backed off and let the claim process fall wherever it falls.Sometimes in life or business you can't win and this is one of them and I accept defeat but like I have said to you more than once I try and do the right thing always even though in this case you disagree.

Allied explained to you that you have rights regarding your claim and you should pursue those rights if you wish, you have written I can't remember how many agencies and I guess you can continue to do that and we will continue to answer that is what we must and will do.

Ultimately you keep threatening legal action and of course that is always an option but that does not mean or guarantee results but that is your call.

Again I will not advise you any more what to do you have been explained perhaps not to your satisfaction but explained nevertheless.

Personally I have spoken to you many times and I think your a very nice person and I wish you well however this turns out

Respectfully

Sal Manso

President
