I bought a 2005 Dodge for just under $5000 from Reg Midgley Kia's used car centre on the Island Hwy in Colwood on Nov 15, 2013.  My condition on purchasing the vehicle was that the funny noise in the back end be fixed.  When I picked up the car on the 15th they said it was fixed, all was good, and the car was ready to go.

I took the car home, didn't drive it much, and when I did I noticed (once I turned the radio off!) that the noise was not gone.  I contacted the dealer on Nov 29th as the noise was getting worse and worse I told them it sounded like it was something on a rotation, was giving me drag and I was using up a lot of gas, and said something is wrong you need to fix my car.  They said they would call me when they could look at it.  On Dec 12th at 8:44a.m they called and said bring it now, there, what I thought would be a mechanic, was there for a few hours and would fix it.  After I did some major juggling to rearrange my day and work, I brought them the car.  Found out when I was there that it was there "lot" guy that does odd jobs for them that would be looking at my car????  They called me 1.5 hours later and said my car was ready to be picked up.  When I got there they said nothing was wrong with it, they cleaned the brakes that were brand new, and it was all good.  Leary I took the car home, and surprise surprise the noise was not gone.  I called Dec 13, 2013 and told them the noise was still there, they told me that their was nothing else they could do that the brakes were brand new???  I took the car to a mechanic on the 19th when I got paid and the drum brakes in the rear were totally warped, was very obvious, and they needed replacing as well as some seal on something.  They fixed it and it drives beautifully now!!

Is it not mandatory that the brakes as well as other safety features all be in perfect working order as per BC Vehicle Inspection laws???  Yet my brakes were screwed and the dealer would do anything to fix them, aside from getting their car washer to look at them, supposedly???  So if you ever want your car fixing, and to buy a car that is what they say it is, don't buy it from Reg Midley Kia's used car centre.....
