My husband and I got our vehicle over a year ago, we were unknowingly financing our car from a terrible company.

Three months after getting the vehicle and signing the contract we called the office and did a one time post dated payment. The amount was for $326.00. My husband and I only use our bank account for bill paying, we don't keep any extra money in it. We put the amount for the bills and not a penny more. Plus we only lived paycheck to paycheck last year. On the day the payment was supposed to be taken out we recieved a letter from Reliable Credit stating that the amount they were going to take out was $336.00, they had added a $10 charge without our consent.

We called the company and spoke to the guy I set up the payment with, he looked into it and told us that it was already processing. He asked if I could cancel it on my end and then just send in a money order for the $326, I told his it would cost me $30 to cancel it through my bank and I would then only be able to send in $296. He told me I had to give the the agreed amount nothing less. I told him that my account only had enough to cover the $326 and my water bill, not a penny more. He assured me that he would take care of it and my account would only be debited the $326 nothing more.

We stupidly agreed and trusted him to take care of it. That was on a Friday. The following Monday I checked our account: Reliable Credit debited our account the $336 and our water bill was returned and now late, plus my bank charged me an NSF for the water bill.

I called Reliable credit and asked why they didn't take care of anything on thier end, I litterally got a stumbled response and not a real reason. I asked what they would now do about all the fees they caused and my late bill. They said they couldn't do anything.

I owed $35.00 to my bank which took the amount of my water bill (or what was left after Reliable Credit) I owed my water company over $200.00 for the late fees and NSF fee and the bill itself. Obviously living paycheck to paycheck, we didn't have the extra money.

During this time we had an infant.

We used the power money for the water bill and part of rent for the power bill. We had lived in our apartments for over a year, had always made timely payments. We asked them if we could pay rent on the 6th instead of the 5th they said no. If we paid it on the 6th we would owe and extra $250 we didn't have. We had to move ASAP.

We moved into my inlaws house and recieved a bill from the apartments for breaking our contract $2000 plus cleaning fees.

We quickly found out that we were paying more money than before. Old apartment bill, current rent for the inlaws, cell phone (which we shared with the inlaws and paid in full ourselves), late fees for almost everything and Reliable Credit.

We called Reliable Credit asking to make arrangments for the month of the move since we would be short. They wouldn't budge even though they messed up the month before. We made the payment, mailing the money order in the mail on the 9th day of the grace period of 10 days. The money order and the envelope were poth dated on that 9th day. They recived the payment the following week and called stating we hadn't included the late fee and needed to pay it ASAP.

We told them that we couldn't afford the late fee at that time. They said there would be interest on the late fee and it would all be due with the next month's payment and then hung up.

The follwing month we made a full payment minus the late fee and interest on the late fee. They called again and said we owed over $250 for the late fees and interest. I don't know where they got that number! I told them that I wouldn't pay the late fee because the payment was made before the 10 day grace period was up and I refused to pay the interest on the late fee I didn't owe. I argued with them for over and hour. They continued to tell me that I didn't know anything and that if I didn't pay the late fee and interest within two days they would repo the car.

I know my rights and although the contract I signed may have certain stipulations, they still have to abide by the state and county laws. I told them that they couldn't repo the car if I hadn't paid late and then I hung up.

We hit a harder snag in our life and the inlaws kicked us out, with no where to go and no money saved up and an infant we asked my grandparents for help. They helped us get into an apartment. Anyways, we sent a full amount payment minus the fees they claim we owed, but my husband accidently wrote the wrong address on the envelope it was returned and I apologized to Reliable Credit and remailed the payment they said not to worry and we wouldn't recieve any late fee.

Liars! We got a late fee, but weren't informed until the following month. Over $500 they claimed we owed in late fees and interest on those late fees.

Every month since then has been non stop interest and late fees. They contradict themselves every turn. "We can't hold the account 30 days past due!" "I will pay next friday which is then only 15 days past due so that is within the 30." "Sorry can't help you!"

My husband's and mine credit scores are low: inorder to get credit you need credit, it's a never ending circle. We can't get refinanced through any company and we are currently stuck with Reliable Credit! I hate this company so much and I have never heard anything good about them evern. I went to the BBB website and found 20 complaints 15 of those were billing alone, of course they were resolved by Reliable credit, probably through a bribe or something.

Being with Reliable credit is litterally hurting our credit and our budget, but we have no choice except selling the vehicle which we need.

I hope they go bankrupt and I hope that they continue to recieve even less customers! With their customer service they should be put out of business.

What ever happened to "The customer is always right!"
