Anyone planning to attend Remington College-North Houston please reconsider.  They will tell you anything they think you would want to hear in order to get you to enroll.  They are NOT an accredited school eventhough they tell you this.  If you attend their two year Criminal Justice program for example their Career Services department will find you a job working for Securitas Security Service earning $9.00 per hour a job that even a hobo could get if he took the time to apply.  These Career Services representatives have it easy all they do is use Craigslist to supply you with job links something you can do yourself if you have a computer and Internet service.  They don't go out looking for employers to hire you unless during your time there at Remington you provided them with treats like lunch or other little trinkets.    Again, Remington College is all about making money off of YOU and not about providing you with training for your next job.  In fact, Congress is about to close them down pretty soon due to the gross consumer fraud they are using against innocent suckers like myself.  There is one CSR named Avernige please, please stay away from her because she is the absolute worse, I overheard her putting down a student's appearance and mannerisms behind his back while the other CSR's laughed at the put down.  He didn't pay for that, he paid to learn and get a better job.

What a lie!!!

Are you talking about Remington College???  There's no way that they were given an A+ by BBB, there are far too many complaints against them for that to be true.  Pretty soon they will be in the news like that of Everest College due the consumer fraud they're involved in and Everest College is Harvard compared to Remington.

I know nothing about that particular Remington College that you speak about, but I agree with the others that you may want to make sure you are putting facts that can be supported and verified; this way you won't feel so attacked.

My husband attended Remington College in Little Rock, AR and received his Associate's Degree in Computer Art/Graphic Design. He just recently enrolled to finish out his degree and all of his credits transferred; all his basics like Comp I, Communications, College Math, and his electives, basically everything that could be used to make his finishing time shorter was transferred.

Again, I can't speak for the particular school you are referring to, but I can speak for the one here because my husband had no trouble at all.

If you have proof of any scam through them, I suggest you submit a written complaint to the Department of Education or other agency so that your concerns will be looked into.

And no, lol, I don't work for Remington College.

I  used to  work  at  remington College  as a CSR  many  years  ago  and  you  got it wrong  my friend.  As a CSR  I would organize careerfairs,  contact employers, and utilize any  and all  careerwebsites.

Remington does not guarantee you a job  it make make the prospects much better.  It all depends on   the    person.   If  you  go  into a interview  acting like a hot mess you will not  get  the  job.

Some of the  students  need to leartn how to interact with professionals.  Remington is not  Charm School.

and, funny you should ask what business someone on here has responding to your inaccurate Ripoff Report.

When YOU filed your ROR, you implicitly invited rebuttals, whether you like them or not.....your bad.

Next time you want to post on ROR, keep this little fact in mind.

I don't know anything about Remington, as others have also stated, but your total inaccuracy gives the lie to your whole posting....just my view, of course.

To try to transfer a private school credits to a real college is a joke

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 07, 2011

I have to pipe up here.  I have attended college and have finished.

Also attended a private school somewhat like Remington.  The original poster is spot on.
These schools are out to get your money; promise you the moon and lie lie lie.  Their diplomas are not worth spit.

I have my college diploma from a state college.

Private school credits like Remington or any faux Associate Degree Program are not transferable and never have been to a public college.

If you are worried about your job because you work for a phony school like Remington; do more research.  These schools are horrifficly expensive and are useless.

Remington is a jacked up college and it's accreditation is a joke.  I am merely warning anyone that is thinking about attending this school.  If you don't believe me there are plenty other post here on Ripoff Report to verify what I say.  I could not care less whether or not you find me creditable and if you are not connected or thinking of enrolling for a class at Remington College, what is it to you anyhow? Personally I think that you are part of Remington's staff because you sound as if you're taking it personal.  If you are, then you know for yourself that you people are a bunch of crooks.  Again, Remington College is a horrible school and yes Congress as well as the State Attorney General's office has their eyes on them and other fraudulent schools similar to Remington which will result in them being closed down.  There are at least fifty ex-students from Remington North Houston meeting with a Consumer Fraud Attorney and they are about to go public against this one particular school.

Remington

AUTHOR: Diogenes - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 07, 2011

Remington, however, IS accredited.  I checked them out, and they received a renewal on their accreditation in February 2011, and will come up for renewal again in 2016. And, yes, it IS recognized by the US Department of Education.  Just because you haven't found another college who will accept all of their credits is a matter that is unrelated to their accreditation status.  No college HAS to accept credits from ANY other college.

You say that Congress is about to close them down ???  Congress has no power or authority to close down any institution.  Hmmmm.  That's TWO wrong facts that you have presented so far.

Remington may be a horrible college.  I don't know.  I've never attended classes at any of their campuses, nor do I ever intend to do so.  But you really should get your facts straight before reporting, as it may cast doubt on everything you say, true though it may be.

Remington is not accredited

AUTHOR: Jitterbug - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 06, 2011

The so-called accreditation of Remington College is a great big joke.  Try and transfer your credits to any other school and see what happens.  This is why I say that they are NOT accredited, if you want to give your money to these crooks go right ahead.

Accredited

AUTHOR: Lorenzen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 06, 2011

You really should do your research before making blatantly false statements online.  Remington most certainly IS accredited.  It took me less than one minute to find out this info.  They are accredited by the ACCSC which is an accrediting agency recognized by the US Dept. of Education.  How can you possibly say they are not accredited ?  So far as your other statements concerning Remington, I have no idea as to their truthfulness, but considering that you lied about their accreditation, it casts a shadow of suspicion on them, as well.
