This is the email that I received today:

It just so happens that the address they used was an attorney, so I called him and he said he had never heard of these people and will help me with whatever is needed.
This has made me so nervous. I just don't know what to do.

You do nothing. This is just a scam to scare you into paying them money or they will "take you to court". Common scam executed by those out of the country. No legit company will notify you via email of a lawsuit. Lawsuit papers are filed and sent in writing to your home. You did the right thing of warning others. That is all you can do. Good thing you didn't fall for this scam. Other then threatening a lawsuit via email. Another red flag is the poor grammar. Ex: "Since your case is already downloaded" Downloaded? Lol, Such idiots.
