Rogaine McNEIL-PPC, Inc Rogaine Made Me Bald, Hair Loss Internet

I used Rogaine foam in my last year of college. I had a quarter size thinning area on the crown of my head that was not even really noticeable.  The commercial and their website stated that if you use it early, you will have amazing results. I thought I was doing the right thing by being proactive, so I religiously followed the directions in applying the product. At 4 months, I called the company, because I lost around 60 percent of my hair. They told me to keep using it. Out of desperation, I continued applying it every day.

At 8 months my whole head aged 20 years, including wrinkles on my forehead and thinning hair on the whole top of my head. When I talked to their customer service department, they immediately gave me a suicide hotline number to call. I thought, wow, this is probably a common occurrence for them to have a suicide hotline number on hand at all times. I’ve now stopped using Rogaine altogether.

Did I mention the exact spots I rubbed Rogaine on my hair are the exact spots that are now thinning and balding? None of this was there before. I even put a test dot of Rogaine foam on the center of my hairline above my forehead at the center of what would be a widow’s peak & that test spot is now a bald spot.

I also recently went for a check-up at my doctor, because I was having chest pains. I have a slightly enlarged left atrial on my heart. Out of curiosity, I looked up side effects of Rogaine. Apparently there are clinical studies that state that people that use Minoxidil (active ingredient in Rogaine) for a year have an increased risk for an enlarged atrial. It also depletes all the collagen and fatty cells in your skin, aging you faster.

I regret ever using Rogaine. If you are reading this, do not use it. You are better off with a slightly receding hairline or small thinning spot than your whole head going bald along with the several other side effects it can cause. Try eating more fruits, vegetables and taking natural supplements, and exercising to reduce any stress in your life. You’ll be way happier.
