I had purchased a Ranch King 42" cut 16.5hp motor(Briggs & Stratten)riding mower in February 2002 (new). Including taxes it came to approximately $1100.00. The first time the mower was used it was May 2002. In October 2002, just mowing along the mower dies, a loud noise happened and Rural King sends us to a service center to have the warrentied mower looked at. Per the service center (Complete Lawn Care Services, it was neglect on the owner's part be cause the filter was dusty, that in a chain reaction cause the motor to throw a rod and crack the block! Wow! Don't worry, Briggs offers a two-year warrenty on their motors(per Rural King). Wrong! Briggs said they are not replacing a thing an that thank you for spending $1100.00 on our product. Plese make sure that your not screwed when they lie about you warrenty!!!
