Used to have lunch now and then at Subway inside the local Wal Mart. Did anyone ever get a sandwich that looked like the ones in their banners/signs?? Got too many chinzy sandwiches and to get the associates to toss on even more lettuce is almost like pulling teeth. I appreciate portion control but jeez, their ads nowhere say sandwich depicted is with the extra cost double meat option.
So I emailed corporate, got a call from the local manager and got a free sandwich out of my complaint...very admirable and respectible, but even the freebie was feeble compared to their signage. Mentioned that to the manager and got babble back. Well, have not been back to eat there since even if their baking bread smells so dang good.
Anybody else notice how slim their sandwiches are compared to their ads??

Having been a supervisor for Subway, I find this is a typical response from a consumer wanting something for nothing.
Subway has many, many problems with its employees and franchise holders but food quality and portion size is not one of them. I would invite this person to take any product she wishes from any place she desires have it professional photographed and then reproduce that product to match several thousand times a day. They have an outstanding product and the most stringent inspection process in the industry, which insures cookie cutter production.
It is the policy of SUBWAY to respond to each customer compliant within twenty-four hours, this always results in an apology for the incident and most time a free product of some type. This particular consumer like a lot of others was simply looking for a free meal and a complaint is the fastest road to that end.

Really?? Honestly?? You would tarnish a companies reputation and waste internet space on this? My sandwish doesn't have enough meat on it........thats awesome. Anyway, subway has been around for more than 30 years and me being 23yrs old, Ive never seen them make the sandwiches any different. You know Im pretty sure Subway like any restaurant measures out portions of food to put on the sandwich so they can generate a profit. Regardless of that, I think its pretty bad that you waited this long to start complaining. If your trying to gorge yourself, why dont you try the mcdonalds next door? Something tells me you arent a very fit person if your complaining about portion size.
