Started in Nov of 2006 and was let go on Jan 26 of 2007 due to manager telling me sales weren't at a $50 sales goal per week. I was told when hired you had to have a $50 sales goal to recieve spiffs but rarely ever did, they make its sounds like you will make lots of money but never did sold 7 phones in a week and got $18 in spiffs was told I missed my wireless spiffs by $7 so lost $60. I also was not told about a contract stating if I didnt achieve a $50 sales goal that I would be terminated.
Found this out after I quit from a new empolyee that was hired to take my place. She wasnt told about it when she got hired either but after i quit she had to sign it. Manager told me he had to fire me because I didnt reach my sales goal for 3 weeks he told me in front of the new empolyee which it upset me and I started crying because I felt that I was always on work on time, never called off and covered extra shifts when I needed to. I also felt because I wasnt a pushy sales person and was honest and didnt put charges on phones that people didnt ask for I had what it took I always had returning customers that said they liked how I did business. I understand how people are getting cell bills that are out rageous because manager would put promontions on customers phones even if they said no. I feel that if you are going to go to sc kiosk in Sandusky you should watch whos selling you the phone.

#1 UPDATE Employee
It is a SALES job!

Okay, first off why are you shocked that they would fire you because your sales aren't good? I have been an employee of SC Kiosk in NE Ohio since December of 2007. I have rarely fallen below $80/hour. It is NOT HARD to hit those numbers! If you were really selling 7 phones a week you shouldn't have been under $50/hour, considering phone activations on average give you $350 in revenue...not to mention accessory and extended service plan revenue. $350 x 7 = $2450. You would have had to work 50 hours a week to have that amount to less than $50/hour. Considering SC Kiosks rarely hire anyone for full time, you would only need to sell an estimated $1300 a week for a part time schedule to keep your job. Don't let this post fool you! If you have any grasp of a sales process you should be able to handle this job! If you don't want a job where you have to worry about commission or keeping numbers up - then don't apply for a job in SALES, regardless of the place of employment!
