Seventh Ave Also Monroe & Main, Mid night Velvet, Swiss colony, I placed an order, and my order was refused, because they said I need to make a 10% down Payment,when i had a available Balance, my payments where behind, But i was still making Payments toward my acc Tarzana, California

I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH SEVENTH AVENUE, AKA MIDNIGHT VELVET, SWISS COLONY, MONROE AND MAIN,  I PLACED AN ORDER WITH MIDNIGHT VELVET,  AND I REFUSED MY ORDER AND I CALLED AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO PAY 10% DOWN FOR ORDER.  I HAD AVAILABLE CREDIT FOR THE ORDERS,  AND I HAD MADE MY PAYMENT ON MY ACCOUNT,  THOUGH MY ACCOUNT WAS SHOWING BEHIND PAYMENT WHICH THEY CHARGED ME A LATE FEE OF $15.00.  THESE BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE,  CUZ I WAS CHARGED A LATE FEE, PLUS I MADE A PAYMENT TOWARD MY ACCOUNT BALANCE IF I HAD AVAILABLE CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT WHY WAS MY ORDER NOT APPROVED OR PROCESSED.  PLUS I MADE A PAYMENT ON ACCOUNT,  I HAD AVAILABLE CREDIT ON MY ACCOUNT FOR USE.  THEY CHARGED ME A LATE FEE FOR THE ACCOUNT, PLUS THEY DECLINE ME THE PROCESS OF MY ORDER, ON AVAILABLE CREDIT LIMITS.  THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THE CONSUMER WHO HAS A CREDIT ACCOUNT.  I SPEAK FOR ALL WHO HAVE CREDIT ACCOUNTS WITH COMPANIES. SUSAN, TARZANA, CALIFORNIA.

FACT: If you are LATE on a payment..orders will NOT be sent WITHOUT SOME SORT OF DOWNPAYMENT! Until your credit account  is CURRENT meaning NO LATE PAYMENTS DUE, then orders you make will be sent out without a down payment as long as you have enough credit avail to purchase items. NUMEROUS times ive dealt with customers who think its ok to order, be late on their existing account, and then complain about not getting an order? DUH! Why on earth would a company send out merchandise to anyone who has not paid on time??  ALSO.. LATE FEE AMOUNTS ARE NOT ISSUED DIRECTLY BY THE COMPANY!! If customers would TAKE THE TIME to readdddd their Terms and Conditions, then i bet at least 3/4 of the customers wouldnt even order!! It clearly states that According to what STATE the customer lives in, the amount of the LATE FEES will vary!!! READD YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS and you wouldnt be in this mess! ALSO::: Every single order a customer makes with the company and sister companies of Seventh Avenue, is SUBJECT TO CREDIT APPROVAL! Meaning, not all orders are just given to you for credit, you HAVE to have credit history with either the company you are ordering from or from other companies that report to the CBR...EVERY order that any customer makes is ran through the credit department no matter HOW LONG you have been with the company, no matter HOW MUCH credit you "were issued" and no matter IF YOU ARE PAYING ON AN ACCOUNT!! Credit scores change, peoples finacial situations change, that is why there is a CREDIT DEPARTMENT to verify orders going out... And if your gonna complain about the amount of the down payment which would be LESS THAN the monthly payments, then WHY ORDER!! DUH! IF you cant even afford to pay the down payment if need be, then you OBVIOUSLY CANT AFFORD TO PAY THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS!

I am also an employee with the credit department. Although it is understandable to have questions about A held order you must understand that we are a place of business. Late fees like any other bill anyone has (electric. Cellular. Gas.) Are added after a siginificant amount of time and what happens if a payment is not made? Well they shut off the services. Now you can restart this service for a fee or down payment. Untill this payment is made no servives will be given If the payment is not made how can the company be sure a future payment will be applied. With many scammers in the market today it is a complete must for companies to do this As the other employees stated late fees are explained in writing in the order form in the center of the catalog

This company sells overpriced, cheeseball, made in China junk leftover from 1994. I find the content in their catalogs quite amusing not to mention I would be embarrassed to admit I'm employed with this place.

I am also a credit specialist with the company and per above is absolutly correct. Sorry for your inconvienence but its thats just the way it goes. If u were in our shoes, from the inside looking out, u would understand if u dnt already. Please dont make urself look rediculous by calling us with bad attitudes, it only makes things worst. Think thouroughly before hand and also please read terms and conditions it will answer most of your questions and give u a better understanding.

I am an Employee in the credit department. From reading your post, I have to say... No, we will not issue an order to somebody if their account is past due without requesting a down payment. Regardless of your available credit. Why would anybody extend more credit to somebody that can't pay their current bill on time ? And the $15 late charge on your account would not hold your order either OR show you "pastdue"... if your account was current when you place an order, and you have the available credit, there wouldn't be a problem. All you need to do is pay your bill on time. It isn't the companies fault that you can't do that.
