Jeff and Bill are masters of the hard sell, stonewalling and overselling. If you want the "real" used car experience this is your dealer. They offered an overpriced Chevy Colorado complete with check engine light and a slew of other problems with a thousand mile or one month warranty. My "we owe" list was never completed. A check engine light came on after the first week and it's still on. Autozone ran a diagnostic that said it was a bad thermostat, fluid level or sensor. Sherold Salmon claimed to fix it three times before saying they didn't think the coolant system was included in the warranty for an internal combustion engine. Really? No coolant, no engine. I asked about a hub on the front wheel because when I crawled under it, it looked different. Last week I changed that hub because someone put a 4x4 hub on rather than a 2wd hub on.the two are far from comparable and as a matter ir fact had I driven it much longer, the front wheel would've fallen off. More than likely, one of their shoddy mechanics tried broke the ABS sensor when they did the brakes and didn't know or didn't care the difference. Of course Jeff said it was a universal hub, but he isn't a mechanic as he told me more than once. And when I asked about the check engine light both Bill and Jeff said, it's probably a loose gas cap--but they aren't mechanics. The check engine light is still on. I changed the temp sensor and checked the coolant. They said they changed the thermostat, even found a therm gun under the hood, but when I crawled under it, it hadn't been touched. Basically they unplugged the battery to get the light to reset because my radio presets were deleted.

Moral of the story, there are better deals out there. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear. When a salesman starts telling you what you're going to do, walk away.

I've been here at Sherold Salmon for 5 years. I didn't catch word of your situation not once. Jeff And Bill are both at a different Car lot now for the exact reasons you mentioned. Customer care wasn't worth as much to them as the money in their pocket. We do have a warranty and we stand by it here at Sherold Salmon. It does sound like you were a victim and I'm sorry our management at the time didn't do as they were paid to do but we have since made several changes to straighten things out. I hope you will consider doing business with us again one day and if you will deal Directly with a Salmon then I will personally see it that you are taken Care of. Thanks.

Good question, Jim.

A buffed out, smooth looking ride that falls apart after a couple of weeks and the crayon washes off. If you've ever heard the line, "There must be something wrong with our Internet because we can't pull up the history of the vehicle.."--then you know. I tried in good faith to support a local business. Unfortunately, with my BS and all the other accolades, I too was duped. So it makes sense to educate other consumers.

If they offered an over priced car with a slew of problems...who was there with a gun to your head forcing you to buy it?
