We contracted Mike Heiser to create our website.  He charged us $700.  His website advertises a complete volusion site e-commerce ready.  He uploaded the site without links or e-c0mmerce ready.  Currently, visiting www.apparelspots.com we still reach our old site.  He got abusive and said we want free stuff.  I don't see the logic when he got paid in full.  He is a thief and a fraudster.  He claims to be a partner with Volusion but he is not.  Volusion' legal team is also aware of this.

This review is false in every sense.

AUTHOR: SlashedGraphics - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, March 10, 2013
This is lengthy, but as the owner of SlashedGraphics.com, please take the time to read this rebuttal.

"We contracted Mike Heiser to create our website. He charged us $700." - Mr. Daswani
Mr. Jack Daswani contacted us with an interest in getting his website designed and some additional work completed. We accepted the work and agreed there would be 2 phases to his project billed separately.
Phase 1 involved our basic design services priced at $700, while phase 2 was to be more advanced programming and customization which was supposed to be billed using our hourly rate.

For the $700, we agreed to complete phase 1 of Mr. Daswani's project, which included a new design for his Volusion powered website. The design service included a template design, as well as a homepage design. The template itself includes the header, footer, navigation, and background. I have edited out Mr. Daswani's personal information, but you can view the invoices for Phase 1 here:
Invoice-00171 (initial invoice)
Invoice-00180 (final invoice)

"His website advertises a complete Volusion site e-commerce ready." -Mr. Daswani
In no location on our website do we offer complete e-commerce websites that include products, various additional pages, etc. Please refer to this link: Slashed Graphics Volusion Web Design Service -- "Our Volusion website design service includes a custom Volusion template design, as well as a custom Volusion homepage design. The custom Volusion template includes killer designs for your header, footer, and navigation. The Volusion homepage design includes... well... the homepage for your store."

"He uploaded the site without links or e-commerce ready." -Mr. Daswani
We went through our standard website design process, all work that we invoiced for was completed, approved, and paid for. Please take a look at these attachments documenting Mr. Daswani's approval of all the work completed.
Approval of Initial Concept
Approval of Logo Design
Final Design - Because Mr. Daswani approved the first concept, we started coding his site. He made further revisions after we started coding which normally isn't allowed, but because we were concerned with his satisfaction, we made the design changes to his site at no additional cost to him (or for free... as we told Mr. Daswani)
Approval of Final Design

"Currently, visiting www.apparelspots.com we still reach our old site." -Mr. Daswani
At Mr. Daswani's request, we continued to use the temporary domain name assigned by Volusion. You can view our completed work on Mr. Daswani's website here: Completed Website

Please note, Mr. Daswani has since cancelled his subscription to Volusion and the URL shown in the attachment above is no longer valid.

"He got abusive and said we want free stuff."
At no point were we "abusive". We let Mr. Daswani know that phase 2 of his project had been delayed by approximately one week. Please keep in mind, Mr. Daswani never paid anything towards phase 2 of his project. After approximately 4 days, Mr. Daswani threatened to file a claim with his bank saying we didn't complete phase 1 of his project.  We decided to go ahead and complete the rest of the changes requested by Mr. Daswani in the interest of keeping our client happy, however, after those changes were posted, more changes were requested and a for a second time, Mr. Daswani threatened to file a claim with his bank to get his money back. After being threatened twice, we informed Mr. Daswani that all work had been completed on his project which we had invoiced him for, and that we would no longer be working with him in the future.

"I don't see the logic when he got paid in full."
We were paid in full for the work that we invoiced him for, which included designs for his template and homepage. All aspects of the services he paid us for were fulfilled and it's unfortunate that Mr. Daswani can't see that.

"He is a thief and a fraudster."
I have many happy clients who can prove that I am neither a thief, nor a "fraudster". As described above, Mr. Daswani threatened to file disputes with his bank twice for work that had already been completed in order to get his money back.

"He claims to be a partner with Volusion but he is not. Volusion's legal team is also aware of this."
I don't claim to be one of Volusion's partners. I am a member of the Volusion affiliate program which means I can receive commission on clients that I refer to Volusion.
